I went in service department just to get my long time wait for my brand new GMC Canyon AT4 bed liner. Service adviser Jackie K was great, she was very nice and friendly. However, I only gave it a 4 star wait for my brand new GMC Canyon AT4 bed liner. Service adviser Jackie K was great, she was very nice and friendly. However, I only gave it a 4 star only because I think the bed liner was not in a good condition once I saw it installed on my truck. Bed liner was not correctly installed to start with, I had to go back to see Jackie, she however brought out the installation technician to correct it. Also, bed liner had a lot of scratches on the driver side and it was pretty dirty, it was also bowed at the end. I had to go back home and clean and scrub down the bed liner and placed (2) 35 lbs. weights on it to make it straight or flat. Otherwise, I do like the bed liner beside it took almost a month to receive it. More

First, let me begin by stating that this review has absolutely nothing to do with Armando Nuno. His only roles in this transaction are he is the one I interfaced with via telephone to set up the appoi absolutely nothing to do with Armando Nuno. His only roles in this transaction are he is the one I interfaced with via telephone to set up the appointment and he is the one who introduced me to the salesperson I interacted with the majority of my time at the dealership. That particular salesperson's name is JuanCarlos Cavazos, Jr., introduced to me as "JC." This review has everything to do with JC and the Mark Christopher dealership overall because based on JC's title, I'm pretty sure JC was only taking his cues from the protocols of the dealership. This car buying experience ranks right up there with one of the worst I've had in all of my car buying experiences. At first, everything was going well. JC got to my bottom line with the price of the vehicle pretty quickly and I was satisfied. It appeared that things were going well. Pretty much at that point, all I had to do was see the finance manager to process my paperwork. But unfortunately, that is not what happened because JC tried every which way to get me to agree to run my credit. I kept saying that was not necessary because I had my own financing. JC continued to pressure me to run my credit and I continued to say no. JC told me repeatedly that my credit HAD to be run in order to verify my identity. I told JC that they had a copy of my drivers license and that should suffice with verifying my identify. But JC continued to respond that it was not sufficient. I even called my financial institution, USAA, to see whether my credit had to be run in order to proceed with the transaction, and USAA said it did not. I even had my financial institution speak with JC on the phone, but to no avail. And even when I got off the phone, Mark Christopher continued to pressure me to run my credit. At that point, I agreed for them to run a soft pull on my credit to verify my identity and I made it very clear that is all I agreed to. JC agreed to do a soft pull. But unbeknownst to them, I could see my credit activity in real time with an app. While JC was gone for some time, I checked my app and Mark Christopher had actually pulled a hard inquiry. I was livid, to say the least. When JC emerged from the back, I told him I knew they ran a hard credit and I told him that I was very unhappy. I told JC I refused to work with him anymore because that was VERY disingenuous. He got someone else and I worked with this other person for the remainder of the transaction. When I explained how irate I was that a hard pull was done on my credit, even she cosigned the notion that it had to be done to verify my identity - but that they only pulled my credit from one bureau instead of three. Absolutely ridiculous. To say the least, I eventually was able to see the finance manager to complete my transaction, but they made me wait an inordinate amount of time even though there was hardly anyone in the dealership. Quite honestly, Mark Christopher does not even deserve the 1 star, in my opinion, due to the pressure tactics to run my credit and for outright lying to me about doing a soft pull on my credit instead of the hard pull they actually ended up doing. What the dealership should understand is the following - IF SOMEONE ENTERS YOUR ESTABLISHMENT WITH THEIR OWN FINANCING AND DOES NOT WANT TO ENTERTAIN THE NOTION OF HAVING THEIR CREDIT RUN TO SEE IF MARK CHRISTOPHER CAN PROVIDE A BETTER RATE, THEN THAT SHOULD BE THE END OF THE DISCUSSION. AT THAT POINT FINALIZE THE DEAL. TAKE THE "L" ON HAVING ANOTHER VEHICLE FINANCED AND MOVE ON TO THE NEXT CUSTOMER. More

We contacted Mark Christopher via CarGurus and Armando returned our email request almost immediately. After quick email chat with Armando, we stopped in about an hour or so to look at a 2024 Colorado Z71. returned our email request almost immediately. After quick email chat with Armando, we stopped in about an hour or so to look at a 2024 Colorado Z71. Armando met us at the lot to show us the Z71, took a test drive (it was good but options on the Z71 was not exactly what we like). So Armando, showed us the other version of the Colorado (2024 GMC Canyon AT4). We ended up purchasing this instead of the Colorado. We felt that 2024 GMC Canyon AT4 had more refine interior and it seems like it was nicer all around. Armando was wonderful showing us both vehicle side by side so we could pick and compare the two. Overall, we made the purchase and traded in our 2020 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback, it was a fair trade so we ended up with the 2024 GMC Canyon AT4. The AT4 battery was dead so we couldn't drive it that day but Armando let us drive another one (same with more options). We liked the AT4 so made the deal that night. Armando gave us a loaner to drive home that night (deal was made late Saturday night after dealership was already closed). Armando had the AT4 in service first thing Monday am and contacted me around 11 or 11:30 to let me know that my AT4 was ready to be picked up. New battery was replaced and the AT4 was cleaned up (not great but good enough). We got there to pick up the AT4 later Monday afternoon approx. 4pm. I saw the AT4 wasn't as clean as it should have been so I told Armando about how the engine should have been cleaned up better, so he took it back in service and cleaned up some more. After he brought it back he showed up all the features on the AT4 and setup our phone apps to work with the AT4 (blue tooth, etc...). Overall, Mark Christopher Auto Center dealership was very easy to work with. Everything went smoothly during the sale and afterwards too.
