Even though the car is under warranty and I purchased the premium warranty, ford will not cover the repair because either Wayne ford or the previous owner already replaced the clutch with some autozone clutch (which is insane for a 25k mile vehicle). This car was abused, they knew about it, they did everything in their power to hide it. Now I need to either pay all American ford 4600 plus tax to do the clutch, or do it myself with a performance clutch for around 2500 in parts. They would not let me test drive the vehicle on the street, because it was “stick”. They knew, they wanted to maximize profit. As if 1/25/25 a whole packet of all the evidence was sent to nj consumer affairs Passaic county. We will see what happens, but as of today 1/26/25 I am into the vehicle for 5400 dollars out of pocket for repairs. Stay far away from Wayne ford, unless you want an undriveable car, and have the sales manager, Anthony tell you “I’m busy I have customers” after you spent 40k there. I cannot drive this point far enough home…STAY AWAY More

Purchased a blue certified pre-owned 2019 Mustang on 12/16/24 for a total of 40893.52. Purchased the 3 year premium warranty as well. I was only allowed to test drive the car in the parking lot, because 12/16/24 for a total of 40893.52. Purchased the 3 year premium warranty as well. I was only allowed to test drive the car in the parking lot, because it was “stick”. Everything felt fine and went ahead, as I needed a newer, reliable car for an upcoming Christmas trip. Driving the car on dry conditions I noticed the horrendous amount of wheel hop. I’ve never had this chassis Mustang and know they have issues. The following day, it was lightly raining. The car was all over the road. When I say all over the road, I’m talking cannot take a turn at more than a creep or the car would oversteer or plow. I immediately turn around and drove it to my shop. After putting the car up on the lift I started looking at the tires. By this time most of the tire shine has slung off and the tires were abhorrent. Date codes from 2018. Some of the worst dry rot I’ve ever seen on a tire. So bad that the tread is delaminating from one tire, all others show advanced signs of rot. Raised the concern to the finance manager via text (he’s awesome), and he said he would inform the sales manager to call me. I waited for a phone call for 6 hours the following day. I texted him with a video of one of the tires after I cleaned ALL the tire shine off them. I wanted to just get the issue rectified and be on my way. Anthony, the sales manager finally called me and had a poor attitude. I was told repeatedly “I’m not a mechanic, I don’t know, I don’t know what to tell you” and “I’m not in the tire business” and “I’m busy and I have customers”. After voicing my concern and frustration that I paid 40k for a vehicle that is sitting on a lift undriveable. I was told “it’s a blue certified, so we only replace the tires if they show uneven wear or won’t hold air” The front left tire is has toe wear so bad it’s missing chunks, and the tread is completely gone, as well as the horrible dry rot. “I’ll talk to someone on Monday and we’ll get back to you”. The thing that really angers me is I drove this car for a day with these tires. The car did not handle nor drive like it should have, and was a serious safety liability to myself and everyone else on the road. My holiday trip is now postponed due to not having a vehicle to take, and now I wait to see if they are going to rectify it. I simply want what I paid for. Did they know about the tires? Maybe. Is that why I wasn’t allowed to test drive it on the street in wet conditions? Was it deceptive and misrepresented by someone soaking them in silicone based tire shine to hide imperfections? Definitely. Could someone have gotten seriously hurt or killed? Most definitely. The irony is on their Facebook their tag line is “our customers are like family, and that’s a big deal”. I’d challenge anyone there to put their family in this car with these tires and do 70 down 287. I was going to hold off on this review until a resolution or until they told me to bug off, but the whole thing up until this point has been a negative. I have a car I paid for and cannot safely drive.I have the means to replace the tires, the knowledge and equipment to do so, but what about the single mom strapped for cash? What about an unsuspecting family? As an automotive technician myself you are constantly fighting this preconceived notion that all mechanics are crooks, are out to screw you, and I honestly see why people say that, especially about dealerships. Update 10/23/24…removed the tires to check the brakes because I do not trust that they did everything they said they did. Front brake pads are under 50% wear that would warrant replacement under their “blue certification” and the front left strut seals are gone causing an oil leak from the strut. Final update 12/23/24. I had two options, considerably cheaper new tires or the value of said cheaper tires ($800). I’m paying 1247.00 plus tax to replace them with the same tires. I also replaced the brakes and struts at my own expense (1300 in parts). More
