Everyone was so pleasant to work with. They did not treat me like a dumb woman. I couldn't remember who I talk to on the phone, another salesman helped me find who I needed. I purchased a used truck from Southfork last Saturday, about 20 miles into the trip home I started smelling burnt oil coming from the vents. I assumed it was coming from the aftermarket oil catch can for about 20 miles into the trip home I started smelling burnt oil coming from the vents. I assumed it was coming from the aftermarket oil catch can for the PVC system that was added to the truck. I had an emergency callout and had to drive to Waco and decided i would check it then. on the way there, mind you this is around 250 miles after driving off the lot a check engine light comes on for a 02 sensor, I figured no big deal, the Ecotec is known for this, so I just changed it. While under the truck I noticed a substantial amount of oil leaking on the passenger side and running down onto the lower turbo. I called the salesman who I worked with and have numerous text messages within the last week going over these problems since he stated to me " the truck has had a full inspection by the shop". After I explained there is no way this could have been missed by even a novice machinic, he stated that they do the "state required inspection to sell a vehicle" I have not asked to get this fixed, I only asked if they could help as I know it is a used truck. But one would not expect something right off the lot of a supposedly reputable dealership to be dumping oil all over the place. Now he is asking me if I purchased a service contract. I told him that you didn't offer one, or I would have rolled it into the financing with Navy Federal. I am a veteran, not that it matters, and I am only stating that so other veterans may stay clear of this place. The last correspondence I had was that "I will check with the guy who did the contract." They did not even fill the window washer fluid before selling this truck. To say I am disappointed and feel like a customer that does not matter, as I only bought a "used truck" is an understatement. Money is hard to come by these days, and when you do spend it, you want to think people are looking out for you and proud to help and get you into a good reliable truck that you feel safe in knowing it's not going to break down and leave you stranded. I guess I am just to old school to see between the lines anymore. Big dealerships, new truck or old just don't care about making things right anymore or taking care of the people they rely on to make their living. Just push it off the lot and go to the next guy in line. More
