Went to dealership with my mom, we both knew what we wanted. Told neither car we wanted was available for 2 months at least. Left. Got a text message from another sales agent from dealership saying he f wanted. Told neither car we wanted was available for 2 months at least. Left. Got a text message from another sales agent from dealership saying he found the exact car I wanted and the exact car my mom wanted. Both would be at their dealership within the next week (before year end). Showed us the pages for the exact cars with prices, vin number, etc. convinced each of us it was true and that all we had to do was put down a $500 fully refundable deposit on each car to hold the car and then when it came in we could come in and see it and we didn’t like it for any reason, we’d get the money back. We both put the funds down as only a few days before cars would be in now and he promised would be fully refundable. Follow up texts saying my mom’s car would be in that weekend, then follow up texts saying my car would even be in that weekend. Then nothing. No cars ever notified that they came in. Parents decide to buy a car at different dealer that actually had the car promised. Called pembroke to advise they wanted their deposit back as car still not in and they are going forward with another purchase. Pembroke won’t return deposit despite fact they still didn’t have car promised (and likely never did). My car, almost two weeks later they admit to me they never got and aren’t getting. I ask for deposit back and they say they will get back to me. Not a word since and don’t expect it after way they treated my parents. Complete bare and switch operation there and lies about completely refundable deposits. I have texts to support all I state. Melvin who’s we dealt with at first and was honest seemed great, but Alejandro Font and his sales Manager Frank Marsala who has not returned our deposits despite the fact that they never had the cars Alejandro had us put the completely refundable deposits on and never would have and clearly was just to get us on the hook, not reputable tactics! I’m sure more people like us are out there. More
