we came in and bought a 2018 VW Atlas. We bought it same day, cash. My wife is due anyday with twins and we needed a vehicle that could hold 3 car seats. Within 2 weeks engine light c We bought it same day, cash. My wife is due anyday with twins and we needed a vehicle that could hold 3 car seats. Within 2 weeks engine light came on. When we brought it in they told us we had to send it to VW to get a “software update”, and that was it. Brought it to VW, turns out it had a faulty idler belt and charcoal canister (no software update was needed). It cost us nearly $1k to repair. When asked if Toyota will help with cost - they said they wanted us to bring it back to them again and they’d fix it. Even though we already brought it to them and they sent us to VW… Now they claim they won’t help with any costs cuz they don’t trust the price of work and it’s not their fault because it wasn’t part of their safety inspection. Great way to treat a expecting family trying to get a safe car… More
