Age Discrimination at the car dealership I made a car purchase on 11/27/2017. I am new to the area and I apparently made a huge mistake purchasing a car from this place Adams Auto Group. My c I made a car purchase on 11/27/2017. I am new to the area and I apparently made a huge mistake purchasing a car from this place Adams Auto Group. My credit is good so I got a great deal from my bank. Ricardo Burress mishandled the transaction by using my former NY address and instead of correcting the information, he told me that I am incapable of understanding how the process works. When he sold me the car, I understood he wanted the sale. Now that there is an error on their part on something as simple as the address, I have been condescended to and disrespected. As a customer I feel hood winked. This company does not value their customers nor customer service. I regret ever spending a dollar in this establishment and I urge all other potential customers to take their money to a dealership that knows how to treat paying customers. Stay away from Adams. They do not believe in treating you well. Once they get their sale, they do not care about you as a customer!! More

No answers, just junk mail I was interested in 2 vehicles and requested the carfax on both. They sent one and just said the other had a clean title. I find it strange an auto I was interested in 2 vehicles and requested the carfax on both. They sent one and just said the other had a clean title. I find it strange an auto dealer employee wouldn't know the difference between car fax and a clean title. I made three more requests for the carfax on the second car, but never received one. I did get a bunch of junk mail, mostly stating how they don't want to flood my inbox with junk mail. More

ZERO stars is a more fitting rating We found a listing for the jeep prior to purchasing the vehicle where Adams Auto Group had rated the vehicle 4 out of 5 stars and listed features to i We found a listing for the jeep prior to purchasing the vehicle where Adams Auto Group had rated the vehicle 4 out of 5 stars and listed features to include a full size spare tire. Upon visiting the dealership we test drove the vehicle although the dealership would not allow us to take it by a mechanic to have it inspected. While driving the vehicle there were no glaring or apparent issues, so we thus agreed to purchase the car. During price negotiation, Charlie Godby stated the reason the vehicle’s price was set at $10,995 was because that was around the fair market value given in the Kelly Blue book for a vehicle of that make, model and year in GOOD CONDITION. Knowing the car had previously been up north, we expressed concern over rust and Charlie assured us that it wasn’t bad on this vehicle. We purchased the car for $11,161.00, dealer fees included. Although the tire pressure light was on in the dash during the test drive, Charlie assured us that it was just a sensor issue. They supposedly replaced the bad sensors prior to handing us the keys and the light turned off while driving home, however the light came back on a few days later and stayed on. On January 9 2016 we began to have major issues, as the front-right tire became completely flat and was not drivable. After replacing the flat tire with the spare, we came to realize the spare tire was even more flat. Fortunately, we have a AAA membership so we were able to have it towed to Goodyear and had all of the tires replaced. While changing tires Goodyear inspected the brakes and reported that they were dangerously worn and needed to be replaced immediately. On January 13, 2016, we had problems starting the vehicle, discovering that it needed a new battery, we subsequently purchased and installed one from Advanced Auto Parts. We got our first oil change at on January 26, 2016. The mechanic changing the oil, concurred with Goodyear about the brakes, stating on the vehicle inspection report that the brakes needed to be replaced, noting "front + rears pads +rotors ASAP". He told us in person that there was a lot of rust on the brakes, which were likely the originals. His inspection further found that the driveline (axles/cv shaft) may require attention due to a large amount of rust. I began making calls to Adams Auto Group several days after we replaced the battery to attempt to remedy the issues we were having with the vehicle. I have been making calls multiple times each week, attempting to reach the Finance Officer, who I was told made the ultimate decision as far as a remedy. After three weeks of calling, on February 10, 2016, the receptionist confirmed that the Finance Officer was in his office. Upon my call being transferred to his office, he ignored my calls twice in a row. The receptionist additionally confirmed she had been informing the Finance Officer of my calls for several weeks. No staff member from Adams Auto Group has even attempted to get back to me regarding the situation, aside from a mechanic a few weeks back who was under the impression that I was bringing the car in for repair even though I never said any such thing as we live in Georgia, not North Carolina. We have submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, which is posted above, however, we now have an update to the complaint, which we also submitted to BBB. Josh no longer works at the dealership, as evidenced by their website. I believe the man avoiding my calls is actually Jeremy Whitesides, the General Manager. I called again on Friday and asked the receptionist if it was Josh I was trying to reach and she blatantly lied and said "Yes." When we tried to get new brakes today, we were informed that the brakes were so badly rusted (from being a Northern vehicle) that we are looking at over $1200 in repairs as the calipers needed to be replaced as well. Again, this is after already spending over another $1200 on new tires and a new battery. There is no doubt in my mind that they were aware of all of these issues and we were NOT given or shown a "Buyers Guide" when we purchased the vehicle, as required by North Carolina law. The vehicle was purchased by Adams Auto Group in Michigan from Allied Insurance, likely for thousands less than they sold it to us for as people up North are familiar with such issues and would never purchase this vehicle for the price they could sell it in the South. Mr. Whitesides' profile on Adams Auto Group's website is full of fraudulent/fake reviews to hide the one legitimate review corroborating our experience. More

I told them what I needed and there was no pressure at all. They truly wanted us to get the cars we wanted, not what they were trying to get off the lot. EVERYONE there bent over backwards to help us and do whatever we needed to make us happy. I can sincerely say that buying a car is not one of my favorite experiences, but these guys changed my mind. I will most definitely be back. More

I asked for the service record while I was there and they gave me a CARFAX that only covered the first 50,000 of 114,000 miles of service records. I guess this some how sufficed my query of maintenance history. Well, anyways, I drive it home and the next day it made some weird slurping noises (coolant system with air pockets). Turns out it has a blown head gasket. The oil was already mixing, and looked like foam. I have called the mechanic and the salesman over 10 times and they blow me off every time. I have 15 days to report it to be protected by the lemon law and I am pretty sure they are stalling. The battery was confirmed dead this morning with a tester and certified mechanic. I am extremely unhappy (PISSED). I am not some chump that likes to complain either. Take my word for it. I am a helicopter pilot in the US Army, former helicopter mechanic. These guys are looking for money, the mechanics are willing to change oil to cover a blown head gasket. That is a safety violation, and is grounds for a lawsuit. Suppose I wrecked because the engine seized on the way home. I am going to post on this website everyday until they tow this xxx off my front yard (because I can't drive it). There is no way that this thing passed state inspection. DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR HERE! Thanks Adams Auto group! Get ready for the greatest reviews ever. TAKE MY CAR, and give me my money back. More
