I went in to see about leasing a new car, as my lease was up on my GMC sierra. Unfortunately I moved from Michigan and couldn’t go to my original dealer. I was told they could handle my buy out process but c up on my GMC sierra. Unfortunately I moved from Michigan and couldn’t go to my original dealer. I was told they could handle my buy out process but charge a doc fee of 75 dollars. I was assured that would be it. They use a fancy desktop type computer and finance scrolls through it and doesn’t go over all the numbers. Just took me to the initial part. I figured we were good since we just got done discussing I wouldn’t be paying a 898 doc fee. When I got home I looked over the paper copies and sure enough they got me for the 898 doc fee. I assumed the extra fees were related to certifying the vehicle as the finance guy AJ said that’s how they got the interest rate down in the loan was buy doing the used car certification I was paying for. Come to find out that didn’t happen either. They do their best to confuse you on numbers like showing the market value and putting a discount on the market value of the car or blue book price to make it look like they are not baking fees in. Its unfortunate that dealers continue to take advantage of people and feel they should make 900 dollars for generating some documents from gm and spending less than an hour on the documents. This is more than doctors make an hour. Not sure why Sullivan feels so entitled. Won’t return. More
