First Review EVER . . .
UPDATE: GHOSTED
It’s been five days since I first posted and LIN PICKARD, the “product specialist” who sold me the vehicle, still has not contacted me as she stated she would do “shortly” in her impersonal, thoughtless, automated e-mail with an advertisement link for a vehicle I just bought embedded in the center of the text. Lin, read the room. I do not think that is superior Customer Support.
I copied Mike Novin, the General Manager, on my email to Ms. Pickard. I just gave his business over $40,000. Imagine instead of a $400 dollar issue, you had a $4000 issue with Mr. Novin. Or perhaps Mr. Novin thinks himself too important to bother with a measly $400 issue.
One would think that the leader of a business that relies heavily on Customer Satisfaction, would read my email, go around and ask questions and then contact me or have someone else contact me.
Nothing. Crickets.
If a leader of a business does not have the character to nurture integrity and respect in themselves, they cannot nurture integrity and respect in the culture of their business.
The rot starts at the top.
Original Review:
I love my new Sportage. This is my second KIA.
My issue is with the Renton KIA dealership. When I made my purchase, I was told something three times which turned out not to be true. It cost me a few hundred dollars (which I value highly) because Renton KIA refused to fix it after learning I was given incorrect information.
Its MY mistake. I trusted them at their word. I didn’t get it in writing. So, if you must purchase a vehicle from Renton KIA, get anything they promise you in writing, not matter how insignificant it may seem. Take out a piece of paper, write it down, and have them sign it BEFORE you sign the purchase contract, especially if you are dealing with Mohammed Al Torshchi, one of the people at Renton KIA who deal with purchase contracts and finance.
I didn’t and I regret it. However, there are many options besides Renton KIA to meet my needs in the future. Renton KIA lost my patronage over a few hundred dollars and a failure to take responsibility. There are many places that sell KIAs. I urge you to patronize one of them. Thank you for your time.
UPDATE: Before I posted this, I reached out to Renton KIA one more time. I was sent a thoughtless automated e-mail from Lin Pickard the “product specialist” that sold me the Sportage. Twice it said she would be in contact “shortly”. I guess Lin is like the others at Renton KIA---once you get their money there is no need to satisfy your customers, right Lin?
No one from Renton KIA has bothered to contact me since that e-mail.
