I purchased a 2017 Cadillac XT5 and Mary McDaniel was the sales person. She was very friendly and extremely helpful. They offer a 30 day/1000 mile warranty on the car which doesn't sound like much but most used cars are as is. I live in Hot Springs Arkansas which is a 3 hour drive to the dealer, but for the deal I got it was well worth it. The very next day the thermostat went out and I was prepared to drive back to Memphis to use the warranty to get it fixed. It was suggested that I get it repaired in Hot Springs and they would cover the cost. I did that today and 45 minutes after City Auto was contacted that the repairs were completed the bill was paid. I couldn't ask for better customer service and definitely recommend this dealership. Every bit a 5 star company. Ask for Mary when you go.

I took my vehicle in to Landers Cadillac of Memphis due to a loss in pressure. Although pressure wasn't at full capacity, it continued to crank. I took it in the very next day after losing pressure. I was advised that their computer couldn't provide a diagnosis and that they needed to tear down the motor. Upon SUPPOSEDLY tearing it down, I was advised that I needed a motor and they quoted me over $18,000. They scammed me out of $2900 for diagnosing my vehicle and it was misdiagnosed. They claimed to have "torn the motor down" to identify the problem. Upon the supposed tear down, they claimed to have found metal shavings in the motor. I took my vehicle in running and had to have a tow truck to pick it up. It was taken to a certified GM mechanic and repaired within a day. He verified within a matter of minutes upon it being dropped off that the motor, in fact, had not been torn down, it ABSOLUTELY didn't need to be replaced, that there was ZERO metal shavings anywhere, and described the oil as being beautiful. Cadillac claimed that their system couldn't provide a diagnosis thus, the tear down. The certified GM mechanic that did the repairs advised that his system pointed to the problem IMMEDIATELY which advised to replace cylinder 4. He did the repairs and now my vehicle is running PERFECTLY with the SAME motor, no replacement. I contacted the service director, Bryant Ward, at Cadillac who advised me that my vehicle needed to be and HAD BEEN torn down to advise that they lied to me and scammed me out of $2900, he's yet to return my call. Since purchasing my vehicle in 2020, Landers Cadillac of Memphis is the ONLY place that EVER provided ANY and ALL services. To be treated the way I've been treated is HEARTBREAKING. To think I trusted them and BELIEVED I needed a new motor is HEART WRENCHING. Mr. Ward LITERALLY quoted me over $18,000 for a new motor when ALL they did was take the top off of a cam shaft. They NEVER did a tear down or so much as a diagnosis. How can you scam someone to this extent and sleep well at night? Words can't explain my frustration and mental anguish. DO NOT TAKE THEIR WORD when it comes to needing major OR minor repairs. They're providing illegal practices and scamming people out of THOUSANDS of dollars. PLEASE BEWARE!!!

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received at Homer Skelton Hyundai. I brought my 2016 Hyundai Equus in for suspension repairs under warranty on November 4, 2024, and my vehicle remained with the dealership for 38 days, during which time the repair process was plagued by delays, poor communication, and unresolved issues. Not only did the service department fail to fix the original suspension problem, but they also repeatedly ordered the wrong parts, causing significant delays. During this time, I was left without transportation, which created major inconvenience and unnecessary hardship. When I finally picked up my car, not only were the original suspension problems still not fixed properly, but a new issue—a noise coming from the front of the vehicle—had appeared. The service department then claimed that the front rims are bent and that the car likely needs two new tires, neither of which were issues prior to bringing my vehicle to this dealership. Key Issues: Prolonged Repair Time: My car was kept at the dealership for over a month without resolution. Wrong Parts Ordered: The repeated ordering of incorrect parts delayed the repair process unnecessarily. Poor Communication: Despite my repeated follow-ups, updates on the repair status were inconsistent and unhelpful. Introduction of New Problems: My vehicle now has additional issues that were not present before the service. Lack of Accountability: The service department offered no satisfactory explanation or resolution for the ongoing problems. It is clear that this dealership is plagued by mismanagement and a lack of professionalism. Homer Skelton Hyundai needs a complete overhaul of its management team to provide the level of service customers deserve. Furthermore, Hyundai should seriously consider stripping its name from this dealership, as the current operations reflect poorly on the Hyundai brand. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone. If you value your time and money, avoid Homer Skelton Hyundai. Sincerely, Michael McKinney

Again this is after I asked if I was approved. Wasted over 2 hours of mine and my childs time to tell me we will need a five thousand dollar down payment. So the site said I was approved the person I spoke with on the phone said as well and to come in after work to be denied. I have seen this is something Landers does it is the second time I have had a instance with Landers. The first time I was told to pick something and they said I was good so I did so to be denied after I was told I was good pick a vehicle. Landers needs to change thier way of doing things and be honest. Oh wait a honest car salesman lol right.

Since the purchase, I’ve had ongoing issues with the car—from motor problems, motors in the window, tires, rotors, and now even the transmission. I reached out multiple times hoping for support or a resolution, but I didn’t receive the help I expected. I trusted that I was buying a reliable, well-inspected vehicle, but instead, it’s been a year of frustration and unexpected expenses. Hands down ABSOLUTE BEST place to buy a vehicle in Memphis! The people here are very warm and welcoming and treat you like family! We were in the market for a car for my daughter's 16th birthday and we weren't sure what we wanted to get yet. We were able to freely look around and not be harassed like we had been at other dealerships. They have a large inventory with a variety of different vehicles in ONE place. When my daughter found a car she liked the staff made sure we got what we wanted and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Very nice vehicles at fair prices. No mark ups. Jim Kerras dealership wanted to charge almost $3k in additional "dealership fees" on tops of the marketed sale price 😳 So thankful we decided to come to Car Smart. Very accommodating people here who genuinely care about their customers and it shows! Special shout out to Blaine and Russell for a great experience ♥️ Thank you guys so much!
