I have had nothing but a wonderful experience. - cherylcox05

I have had nothing but a wonderful experience. I worked with Grant when I was first interested in trading in my minivan for something more exciting. I wanted a hybrid but also some luxury. We chose a sleek black Volvo XC90 plug in hybrid and I love it. In about 3 months we have taken it on several long trips and the gas milage is decent. Even better, for my day to day work commutes, I run almost entirely on electricity and just plug it in when I get home. When it notified my of my first service, it was easy to leave a message. I got a call back within 20 minutes and service was scheduled. I dropped it of and was greeted by name and offered a ride to work. I was notified of the progress throughout to include a walk around video. The car was returned clean and sparking, not quite new car clean but certainly better than when I dropped it off. We have purchased several cars from this dealership, not all new and not all Volvo but I have been treated like royalty every time. 5 stars.

The Best Feature on the Lot Wasn’t Under the - mrjerrym02

The Best Feature on the Lot Wasn’t Under the Hood While searching for just the right new vehicle, we came across something truly exceptional: uniquely designed, high-performing, reliable, and clearly built to exceed expectations. From the first impression it was obvious this was no ordinary find. Handled every concern with ease, delivered comfort and confidence, and proved to be a perfect enhancement to our family’s buying experience. The more time we spent, the more we appreciated the smooth performance, and the thoughtful attention to detail, instilling quiet confidence in us from start to finish. The feature I’m describing was not something parked in front of us at all, but rather our sales associate John Brown. Professional, patient, knowledgeable, and fully committed to meeting our needs. He made the entire process smooth, enjoyable, and worthy of our respect and recommendation. Oh, the shiny new 2026 Audi SQ5 wasn’t bad either!

Awful and would not recommend. - Chris

Awful and would not recommend. The service department does not want to fix anything when it is still under warranty. They say nothing is wrong even though the car is shaking when driving and the transmission is slipping. They want to wait until it is no longer under warranty and I have to pay everything myself to fix. Got their licenses from a cracker jack box. Do not go there.

I purchased a vehicle through JD Byrider about 8-9 months - markeshah

I purchased a vehicle through JD Byrider about 8-9 months ago. I have had nothing but problems since I got the car, and the salesmen are well aware that I am not happy nor satisfied with this vehicle as I, myself have told them this time and time again. 2 weeks after purchasing the car, I had to take it in for a miss ( which is still there, never has been repaired properly as I’m still having issues) and they changed my catalytic converter, told me that was the problem and sent me home. I was told before coming home in the vehicle that I still had an underlying issue and that they were going to get me in to see a Kia Dealership to have it further investigated but they never called me back with an appointment time/date. The car was doing okay at that moment, so I wasn’t stressing it too bad. Now, 7 months later….my engine light came back on Friday and the miss came back STRONGER THAN EVER! I took it to JD Byrider yesterday and they changed my spark plugs, as well as my coil pack but the car is still missing and they’re going to AGAIN set me up with a Kia Dealership. They then told me that I had oil on my spark plugs, which isn’t a good sign but couldn’t even provide me with a SAFE loaner vehicle until they can get my car in with Kia, which could take several weeks?! Am I just supposed to sit here without a vehicle for more than a month?! Oh, and my Engine light NEVER WENT OFF…its still on. I have explained that I am a single, working Mother and I DEPEND ON THIS VEHICLE FOR MY FAMILIES DAILY NEEDS BUT I HAVE SAT WITH NO VEHICLE FOR ALMOST A WEEK NOW BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE LOANER AS THEY CANT SEEM TO GET THEIR CUSTOMERS TO RETURN THE CARS ON TIME THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY LOANED! Beyond aggravated with this whole situation! My CNAC Caseworker called them after me explaining my situation to her and now they’re telling her that they won’t have a loaner for me until FRIDAY and today is only Wednesday?! Remember I took my car in on Monday and have called everyday since to see if a loaner was brought back like they had been telling me, just to get a let down everytime!! “We can’t seem to get ahold of the person to return the vehicle”….but yet I call right after my worker and I’m told they MAY have one today BUT ITS A LITTLE FORD FOCUS…like, do you really think I care what kind of car it is?! NO…as long as it runs properly smh! They keep saying they’re trying to help but actions speak louder than words….. I just hope this saves some people the money, time, emotional 🎢 , high anxiety and stress it has caused me. Not to mention the doctors appointments I’ve had to reschedule and the 2 job opportunities this issue has knocked me out of!!

I was fortunate enough to reach out to J.D.Byryder to possibly get a car approved for me. I have been without a car for several months. I lost my car due to low hours and this whole covid pandemic. I was very fortunate to reach a very understanding agent by the name of Tess. She was amazing and I would have never dreamed that it could happen for me … she is a miracle worker and I thank her with all of my heart for giving me the opportunity to rebuild my credit as well as my life. I would highly recommend this company especially her if you are in need of a great used vehicle.

Great Customer Service - Rick

I recently purchased a used Jeep from the Lakeview location. The salesman was Larry Sulfridge, he was very helpful and courteous. I have purchase numerous vehicles and this was one of the better experiences I have had. Also, kudos to Fred Winland the Finance Manager, he was very pleasant and efficent.

I always get great service from the service department. - Michelle Haught

I always get great service from the service department. I've never had any problems from them. This is my second car through JD Byrider. I recommended my son to go to them and he got a vehicle .

I want to start this review off by saying I NEVER write - deven.hoover

I want to start this review off by saying I NEVER write reviews about places, even when the service is bad. But the way this dealership treated me was horrible, by far the worst I have ever had. I purchased a vehicle in May of this year, a 2016 Subaru WRX STI, with only 40k miles. The car was in perfect condition (or so I thought). 5 months after I purchased the vehicle (less than 5k miles put on it) all of my lights on my dash came on. I was confused, so I took it to my local NTB to have it looked at. After having my car 2 days, I finally got a call from the mechanic, and what he told me was astonishing... He started off by asking me if i had replaced the engine of the car...? I said no , I just got the vehicle. He said that the entire engine of the vehicle had been taken out, and when it was put back into the car... it was not done right. Wires were not hooked up, bolts were missing, gaskets were re-used... On top of that there were MAJOR oil leaks, and the water pump was bad. The intercooler was cracked, I mean the list went on... When I went to pick up my car, the mechanic gave me a 4-page essay and pictures of everything wrong with the car. I had to pay 2 thousand dollars to get the car running (and it needed a lot more done). So, I call Renn Kirby to tell them all about this, and I had the solution of, I would come back, trade the car (they give me what I owe since I hadn't had the car for that long and was unaware of what they did...) and I would in return buy another car from them to make up what they would lose.... In my eyes, that's more than fair. Well, the GM of the dealer basically gave me the run around and then 2 days later told me they could appraise the car and sell me a new one... So basically, they wouldn't help me at all, even after the GM admitted he "won't use that mechanic again".... This dealership should be ashamed with selling a vehicle that was "unsafe to drive"... and then screwing me over more by not helping me get out of it, or even giving me a refund for the money I spent. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone, because once you leave that door, they don't give a xxxx about you.

THIS GUY RYAN NEEDS TO BE REALLY COMMENDED FOR HIS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. To rate a place of business 5 stars is saying that they were darn near perfect. Well my visit today consisted of my 3rd vehicle purchased with in a 8 year period. Fortunately this guy named Ryan had sold me all 3 hehicles. Let me say that he has to be the most well manored, polite and very professional at this job. Definitely not a regular car salesman he cares about the customer and what he puts them in to drive. He gets a 5 star rating. Now I can tell you that Charles in the service department is also worthy of these 5 stars with his work of excellence. Great mechanic !! And the total service from the garage is and always has been EXCELLENT!! IHAVE NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THESE GREAT AND VALUABLE EMPLOYEES. I WILL RETURN. THANK YOU GUYS Mikey T

BUYER BEWARE: Don't let their reviews fool you. - Kevin

BUYER BEWARE: Don't let their reviews fool you. They used a 3rd party website called Birdeye to filter good reviews online and suppress the negatives ones. If you check all the other sites, the true story of how this dealership operates is right there. I had a terrible experience overall. I purchased a 2023 Ford Bronco with a Hardtop, because I saw it listed on Facebook. First issue was, they posted online they were selling for MSRP which is why I called, but then was told since I was paying cash for the vehicle, they would have to charge me $5,000 OVER STICKER because I wasn't financing it with them????? I finally got that negotiated back down to MSRP since I was trading a brand new paid for truck. They delivered the Bronco next the day and I wrote a 4K check for the difference in price plus the SOFT TOP I wanted since I didn’t want a hardtop bronco. They promised to send me my a fully functional soft top. 2 weeks later, my local dealership in Nashville, Tn called and said my soft top "fabric" came in. Perplexed, I called and asked what he was talking about? My local dealer said they received the fabric but not frame or side windows. So basically there is nothing you can do with this fabric. I paid extra for a full "soft top" for my new Ford Bronco and once the dealership figured out they messed up and looked up the wrong part and cost, they said they could not uphold the agreement and since the "WE OWE" stated "soft top" then they did all they could do and would not be sending me my soft top or be refunding my money. Jonathan Brown, in the customer service dept called me and said he was going to work on this and that was 2 weeks ago. I have called 4 different times and left messages with no response. Buyer BEWARE, read your paperwork closely and fill in the blanks that they dont. See attached photos. There are so many great dealers out there that do what they say they’re going to do. Do your homework and make same mistake I did giving this dealership your hard earned money.

Wonderful buying experience. - william

Wonderful buying experience. They went out of their way to make this remote purchase and easy as possible. I was looking for a very specific vehicle and Larry Dawson had one. Larry Summey worked with me to coordinate an independent inspection from a local dealer, and were very communicative throughout the process. This was the most expensive vehicle I have ever purchased and I was very anxious. With flight, rental car, and hotel, I was $1000 invested prior to even seeing the car in person. I am extremely happy with my purchase. The car was EXACTLY as the dealer described and the transfer was cleaner and easier than any previous car purchase. I found Larry’s team to be honest and easy to work with, and would have zero hesitation recommending them to any friends or family.

I purchased a SLK out of state in Virginia and had to - Joey

I purchased a SLK out of state in Virginia and had to have Morgantown dealership update the key fobs, and keys. Also, they performed.an overall inspection of the vehicle? I’ve had it there a few times for service and parts and always, always met with the most pleasant of people and great service. Definitely a five star facility.

I had the best experience at wrench and ride. - misher78

I had the best experience at wrench and ride. No pressure to buy when we first went to look. Everyone we met was professional and a pleasure to work with. I have never had an easier or more fast experience than with this dealership. The process could not have been better! Thomas was great showing me the car, explaining things and getting me through the process. Knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Erin, the financial expert was also very quick, friendly and efficient. When I found out that wrench and ride was owned by Renn Kirby that gave me a great feeling and that feeling wasn't wrong. Purchased my first car at Renn Kirby in Frederick 30 years ago. Great people in both locations! Mike Circo was also friendly and helpful to us when we were just looking around the lot the other day. Great prices and a lot more inventory incoming! You can't go wrong.

Absolutely the best experience I've ever had purchasing a - P_Hibron

Absolutely the best experience I've ever had purchasing a vehicle. My wife and I had been looking for a vehicle in the tri-state area for a few months, and we were so glad we came across A&D Preowned Auto Sales and met James! We wound up purchasing a 2017 Land Rover from him. It was not only a good clean used car, his service and kindness prior to purchasing was stellar. He provided a very thorough vehicle report, inspected the vehicle for us, and we even got to keep the vehicle for a overnight test drive! My wife fell in love with the vehicle, and James, and this dealership provide excellent customer care and service with everything, period! I am not only purchasing from them again, I'll recommend them to everyone!

In praise of excellent service from the Parts Department - Kate Kennedy

In praise of excellent service from the Parts Department Manager, Josh Miller. His professional knowledge and consideration for me as a VW customer were superlative.

Very poor service. - JAT

Very poor service. I do not trust the maintenance department or their advisors, especially Austin Kuhn. I had to bring my car back three times for the same issue, and the quality of the work was still poor. Even more concerning, they claimed they changed the oil when it had not been changed. After that experience, I would not even trust them with a basic oil change. The advisors were dishonest with me about what services had been completed, and I have completely lost confidence in this maintenance department. I live only 3 miles away, but I would rather drive almost 40 miles to Morgantown to have my car serviced than come back here. I strongly recommend going elsewhere for maintenance or service.
