Too Bad You Cannot Rate Negative Stars - jrembrey
I am writing to express the poor service I received when I had my 2015 Chevrolet Silverado's DEF system serviced for the 3rd time in February.
I had originally purchased the vehicle brand new and the first time the DEF system failed and left me broke down was 1 month after purchase. JE Chevrolet charged me a thousand dollars to fix it and the fix lasted about 2 years. The 2nd time the vehicle left my stranded, I was lucky to have been out of town so an Eastern Shore dealership (Midway Chevrolet) replaced the system free of charge under warranty.
The 3rd time my vehicle broke down in the 4 short years I'd owned it, I had the misfortune of being back in Front Royal. Not only was it supposed to have cost 800 dollars and ended up being 5 THOUSAND, but they also had my truck for almost a month.
GM would not cover the cost of this repeated problem because John Evans determined that the tank was contaminated by an outside source (which I think is completely impossible and a lie) and therefore, it was an insurance claim and not a warranty claim. I seriously doubted this "vandalism theory" because I park my truck in the yard with my two large dogs and right in the frame of two security cameras. Obviously the vehicle is simply a lemon, but following his personal advice, I filed the insurance claim.
It has been well over a month and my insurance company is still begging for the evidence of my tank being contaminated from old John Evans himself, but it seems that after they took my 5k, they forgot the fact that they told me to file a claim and they no longer have the evidence to prove to my insurance company that my tank was contaminated as they stated. Or is it because they lied in the first place and just billed me 5k for nothing. We will never know. One thing I do know, I will never go to this place again and strongly urge you not to deal with them either.
In addition to being completely lied to and ripped off, I had to deal with a rather unprofessional employee named Sarah in the service department. She kept on interrupting me, was very rude, and offered no real solution to my problem. In the end, after fighting with the incompetent Sarah for well over a month, I am out 5 THOUSAND dollars.
If you truly value good service, I highly suggest you go elsewhere. Don't let this old man take 5 THOUSAND of your hard-earned money to fund a bigger mansion like my money did.
