Avoid them like the plague. They lie. What was told to be a one hour job to fix a door turned out to be a week and a half job and they broke the driver side door handle. Service department made the estimate after they did an evaluation of the door. Once they got my approval to fix what they said was simply replacing a internal door piece, this job ballooned into a major undertaking because they are incompetent. They broke the door trying to get the panel off. Then tried to blame that break on me. But the body shop who repaired the door contradicted what the service manager Bill said. The body shop said that the service people broke the door. When confronted, of course, Bill said it was like that when he got it. But the body shop said this had to be broken by the service people putting what he called MAJOR force on the door. To fix the problem they said they had to weld in and make a complete new piece for the door. They Bacon order the wrong parts, did not ever call us. We had to call them. I am certain that had I not continually called them, that my Caddie would still be in their shop. Save yourself some headaches and buy your GM products from somewhere else. TJ

Our Suburban was towed to the Bacon Chevrolet in Palestine. The first 2 times I called, no one ever picked up the phone after I was transferred. The third call, I finally got to talk to someone who told me they did not have time to even look at the car and there was nothing they could do and could not provide a rent car until a mechanic looked at it. (we live 3.5 hours away) They got it to start and told us it was just the battery. We were 3 miles down the road with the stabiltrak and traction control light began to come on again and then the check engine light came on about an hour later. It would not start once we returned home and turned the vehicle off. I took it to another dealership this morning that has much better customer service.

I took my Fpace to this dealership for service on the cooling system in September. My experience was the ABSOLUTE WORST service that I've ever had anywhere! First, they bill me $5,000 for repairs, but never would send me the video showing where the leaks/damage was at, after I asked repeatedly to see the video. Then they returned my vehicle to me in terrible condition! It smelled like mildew, my settings had all been changed and my wiper fluid tank had been topped off with a highly corrosive chemical that left damage of deep etching in all my mirror and door trim, from the chemical spray coming from the wipers. When I pointed this out, they tried to say that I had put it in there! I know for a fact that I only had water in that reservoir, because I filled it myself with water the last time it was empty. After I insisted they clean out my reservoir, they attempted to remove the chemical, but it's residue is still leaving bad chemical burns when I spray my wipers. When they returned my vehicle this time, it had a coating of thick dust like it had been driven on a dirt road and under the dust was TAR splattered all over both sides! I had just washed my car the prior evening and this added insult to the injury they already had inflicted! This experience was a literal nightmare and I've never had such horrible service! The service at the Mazda dealership for my backup car has more class than Chris Cotton and whoever is hiring the unskilled laborers that put that in my tank. They should be ashamed for the way I and my vehicle were treated and I will make a point to tell as many people as possible about my experience there. This dealership is deceptive, abusive and corrupt!

Terrible Experience with Bayshore Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Service Department I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with the service department at Bayshore Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. I dropped off my truck on Thursday to have the active grill shutter inspected due to a possible wiring issue or failure. After waiting over 3 hours for a response from the service advisor, I decided to leave and wait for a follow-up call. Near the end of the business day, I finally received a call informing me that the grill shutters were unresponsive and needed replacement. I was also told that my water pump was leaking. This turned out to be completely false. My water pump was not leaking, but I was still charged for a replacement. When I asked the service tech, Landon, to show me the leak he claimed was coming from behind the pulley, no one could provide any evidence. On the day my truck was supposed to be ready, Mark Proctor called to say that the thermostat housing and heater hose were now leaking and needed to be replaced. It turns out these components were working fine until Landon damaged them while replacing the water pump. To make matters worse, after paying over $2,400, I picked up my truck to find it not reassembled properly and fitted with clearly used replacement parts—especially the active grill shutter, which was dusty and visibly worn. I spoke with Alberto Olvera, a service lead, who got defensive when I questioned the charges. He even admitted that the water pump wasn’t leaking and that it would be highly unlikely given its design. While he discounted the part, I was still charged over $1,200 in labor for something that didn’t need fixing. When I brought this to the general manager, Jen McCumber, she was completely dismissive. She pretended to take down my information, only to later call someone else and refer to me as a liar. Her reasoning? Because the tech had worked there for years, nothing could be done. I was left feeling unheard, disrespected, and—based on the interaction—possibly racially profiled. I’m incredibly disappointed and upset by this whole experience. I expected transparency and professionalism and instead walked away with unnecessary repairs, poor workmanship, and a $2,400 bill for problems that either didn’t exist or were caused by their own staff.

My car was giving me concerns and I took it to their service department. Fred took the time to explain everything to me. Being a woman I was a little nervous. The service department is amazing. They fixed my car at a reasonable price. Highly recommend them for all your automobil repairs.

She kept us informed and answered all of our questions while we were waiting. The Check Engine light in my Cadillac went on when I was visiting the area from out of town - the day after Thanksgiving and the day before I had to leave. The Service Department fit me in and fixed the problem in less than 2 hours. Very grateful they were able to do that. I didn't miss a meal with my family and I didn't have to worry about what would happen driving home with the Check Engine light on. Icing on the cake was that the work was covered under warranty (i.e. no charge). Appreciate their honesty as well as service!
