I have purchased two one-owner used vehicles at this - tlscull
I have purchased two one-owner used vehicles at this dealership. The car prices are somewhat fair and the initial sale was professional and friendly. The first vehicle purchased was a 2013 Jeep purchased in 2016, which I sold within a year of the purchase as it was not a great daily driver and it ended up having mechanical issues with the suspension being poorly installed and as a result the vehicle was riding poorly. I suspected that the dealership staff knew of this but sold it in that condition anyway. I at least broke even on that sale. The second vehicle purchased was a 2020 Ford Ecosport purchased in 2022, but I had asked for the delivery of a 2020 Ford Escape from the Sioux Falls location and instead they sent the Ecosport. I went ahead with the purchase anyway as the car was still a good buy and I purchased the full coverage bumper to bumper warranty as well. However, the car was stated in the dealer listing to come with a remote starting system which it did not have on it, so I brought the issue up and after trying to deny the listing stated that, I demanded it be looked at and I was correct, so they then agreed to have on installed for me. Then, within about a year I discovered that the key fob had an uncut blank physical key when we needed it and we became locked out of the vehicle. I contacted the dealership and after some two hours they sent over a salesman to open the car with a lock out kit. They apparently could not find their kit, so he had to pry the door and use a wedge and coat hanger to get it open, which I could have done myself, so the wait was for nothing. I asked if they were going to provide me with a physical key which I pointed out should have came with the fob when I bought the car. He said yes they would "take care of that for me". Then, when I went in to the dealership to get the key, I was told that I had to order one and pay for it. I disagreed and after some debate, they decided to send me to a local locksmith shop to get one made and they were to reimberse me for the cost (over one hundred dollars worth). When I brought the reciept in to them I was told it would take a week to have a check ready for me. I went in for the check two weeks later and I was told one was not sent, so they ended up giving me a cash reimbersment right there. This was all done with some unprofessional language from the salesman that had come to open the car door, as he stated it was our fault for having a dead battery and for not checking for a key earlier. But the battery had suddenly gone dead over-night in the summer, without warning within a year of buying the car, and we had no key to get in, which was their fault. Also, they sold me the car with tires so worn out that the tire professional that serviced them stated that they were very unsafe to even drive on at all. All in all, the car was a good buy, but I will not do business there again, as the behaviors were somewhat unprofessional and even argumentative, over several issues, with a good paying and returning customer. Sorry, but delivering the wrong vehicles for buyers, selling cars without what is stated in the listing, selling cars with no keys, and with old batteries, and worn out, unsafe tires is a not a good way to do business.
