My husband has been a faithful Outback owner for several years. I owned an SUV comparable to the Ascent but had never driven one. I watched how my husband had no problems with driving in winter conditions; he always had better traction than I with a larger SUV. I stopped in to the new JMK Claremont Subaru to simply test drive the Ascent. Daniel Miller in sales was tremendous. The first thing he did is pop the hood and explain the special care and design of Subaru engines and additional steel reinforcements. A true professional believes in the product he is selling and the passion that Dan expressed in the safety and quality of Subaru was quite genuine and contagious. Test driving the ascent only heightened my interest more. Quality customer service and a genuine belief in one's product are priorities for me. Dan is a true professional who is committed to making your experience pleasant, informative, and to your full satisfaction. I received a full tour of the facilities, amenities when receiving service, met the sales manager, finance manager, service personnel, and having a special humane society event the same day for animal adoption was tremendous to experience at a car dealership. Caring about causes in one's community only deepened my positive experience. Though I sure hadn't planned on a new vehicle that day, I drove home in my new Subaru Ascent. I am a tough negotiator, and they respected my position and made it all work in a very fair and customer service-oriented fashion. Everyone was terrific to work with and I look forward to additional positive experiences with this dealership who makes community and customer service satisfaction their priority. I purchased a 2011 Subaru Outback from Capital City - Tammy Martin

I purchased a 2011 Subaru Outback from Capital City Subaru on 12/31/23. I needed a vehicle right away as my Volvo needed yet more expensive repairs. I spoke with Brett Cushing, Sales Consultant. He said they had a 2011 Subaru Outback that was just traded in.  He said if I don't purchase it, it would just go to auction. (I was an auto claims adjuster for 30 years which included handling total losses and having contact with salvage yards.   My guess is that the auction house would have paid $3,000 at most for the vehicle.) He went and spoke with the manager, Shawn Ramos, Sr., and came back with a price of $9,000.  The vehicle had a little less than 149,826 miles on it.  In this 1 yr 3 months I have put 10,000 miles on the vehicle.  It now has 160K miles on it.  Not long after purchasing the Subaru, it was clear to me why the vehicle was traded in.  It needed brakes and rotors, a wheel bearing, cv axle, battery, and ball joints on both sides,   Also all of the doors won't stay open and each one will keep closing when trying to put things in the vehicle, i.e. groceries.  How much for all of these repairs?     About $5,500.00.  I had all of the repairs done except for the doors and I did get a 2nd opinion for the repairs.

Avoid this dealership and service department. They will sell you an absolute lemon, with a slick smile, and expect you to be happy with it. The absolute bottom of the barrel beings populate this place. Shop for, purchase, and service your vehicle elsewhere. You'll be glad you did.
