We purchased a used RV on Ford E450 chassis as is from a - shipinspect

We purchased a used RV on Ford E450 chassis as is from a PA RV dealer except they put new tires on it and checked the brakes before delivery. This was in Feb 2023. Vehicle’s steering was bad. Took vehicle to Bayshore Ford Truck Center and asked them to fix it. Paid about $4000 for steering, suspension and alignment work in Feb 2023. Steering was better but vehicle still did not handle very well. At 2024 state inspection at RV dealer found front tires to be so badly worn (after just 1200 miles) that they needed replacing. Took it back to Bayshore Ford and asked them to replace the tires, do an alignment and explain why there was excessive tire wear. After nearly 3 weeks they eventually found the print out for the 2023 alignment and then told us “we don’t do tires”. They said the front brakes were causing the problems and quoted nearly $3000 to fix it. Instead we took the RV to a local (PA tire and service chain) shop. They replaced the front tires, checked the brakes which they said were fine, and did another alignment. They gave us their alignment machine printout and which they explained showed that the Bayshore Ford alignment was way off. They said the horrendous tire wear was due to the bad 2023 alignment and no way would bad brakes cause the type of severe wear that was clearly visible. We contacted Bayshore Ford management who argued on the phone that the brakes were still the problem and that their original 2023 alignment work was not the problem. They asked us to bring the RV in and they would show us the brake work that needed doing. We took a pass on that! We will never use a Ford dealer service center again to work on our E450 RV or our F150 truck. The RV now handles very well!

After a meeting with Director of Fixed Operations Skip McCracken, and the Service department employee, we discussed the extremely high service repair amount, I was quoted the day. Resulting in having to take my vehicle to another Auto Shop and feeling I will never come back here again! . Mr. McCracken acknowledged that his service department employee had made a mistake and the repair amount quoted was too high. Both Mr. McCraken and the service department employee were very apologetic and concerned that Ford would loose my business. I have been having my Ford vehicles serviced at various Ford service centers for 25 years. Not only was this a learning experience for the service department employee but I believe that sometimes a negative review can be a leaning tool to success. Because of the way Mr. McCracken handled this situation, I have high admiration and respect for him. I will return to Boulevard Ford Lincoln in Georgetown for future service .

So I take a vehicle to Willis Ford Smyrna to have a vibration fixed. Well months and month later thousands of dollars later after multiple repairs due to miss diagnosis the problem got worse and worse. With having the vehicle for weeks at a time and still not fixed the problem went on so long it caused even more damage and now I’m expected to pay even thousands more to fix a problem o paid to fix on multiple occasions. It’s Spark plug wires No steering damper problem No tire balance problem No it’s a normal vibration No front axle problem No transmission service problem flush and drive it. Months and thousands of dollars later the original problems torque converter get so bad it destroys the transmission due to dealership not diagnosing the problem and now wants thousands more to fix what I already paid to have fixed which would of originally been a 800-1200 repair not 8-10k thanks Willis ford Smyrna for charging me thousands to fix a problem that was never fixed. Highly recommend never using them. Be seeing you in court Willis ford along with Delaware, Better Business Bureau, and Delaware consumer affairs. Horrible service and screwing ur customers.  Stay far away from Willis ford

They lack quality control and follow through. I have went to them six different times to try to get a key fob programmed. I thought it was something simple to get a key fob programmed. However, they kept telling me that it was bad key fobs that I purchased from them. The last visit they now said it was the computer in the car and had to contact ford customer service and would call me. Although, they didn’t call me nor have contacted me to keep me informed throughout this painful process. I spoke with Chuck a customer service rep and he kept telling me that he would call back and never did. I was told that to replace the computer in the car it would be another $400 just for parts and no guarantee that they would be able to program my keep. I asked to be refunded my money and Chuck for over 2 weeks kept telling me that he needed to check with the manager. How long does it take to check with the manager? I called on 9/21/2022 and was informed that they were not going to refund any of my money. I currently waiting to hear back from the manager (Patrick) but more than likely will have to report it to my credit card service. I was charged for a service that they could not or did not provide. In addition, refuse to refund my money for the key and/or service charges. I only went to them because I have a Ford vehicle but it will not happen again.
