“Not pleased with the service department performance.” That was my review of my experience with the service department at IG Burton on google maps around noon on Friday May 18, 2021. I re performance.” That was my review of my experience with the service department at IG Burton on google maps around noon on Friday May 18, 2021. I received a call from the service manager shortly after and we exchanged points of view on the car repair issues and delays. He requested that I delete the above comment as unfair to their business. I declined! The service manager told me that there was no reason to do business and that I should come back and get my Jeep, which has been sitting around their lot since Tuesday early morning for a service appointment which was scheduled in advanced for 1:30PM Tuesday. I was happy to get my vehicle back and move my business elsewhere. I prefer to spend my money with local business, but these guys are simply not worth the effort. Here is my side of the story - I made a reservation a week in advance for services which included checking the brake pads (squeaky), fixing a leaking tire or trouble shooting a TPMS sensor alarm, and rotating the tires. I also mentioned to the advisor that there was an unusual metal-on-metal noise (like valves noises) coming from the engine. I thought it could be belts too, so I asked to please check it out and corrected as needed. I have a lifetime warranty on this vehicle that covers all of the mechanical issues which I purchased from Jeep (Chrysler) along with the vehicle. As the week went by, I called the dealer every day to check on the status of the repair. On Wednesday I was told that the cam shaft and the lifters needed to be fixed and that Chrysler was notified as they need to send some special mechanic emissary to check and bless the repairs. Thursday came around, same story, still waiting for Chrysler. Today, the same story. I called Chrysler on Friday May 21, 2021 at approximately 2:00PM to find out what the delay was. A very helpful and professional gentlemen review the records - tuns out that the dealer did not submit the requests to Chrysler until Thursday late afternoon, which explains why the Chrysler people have not shown-up to inspect the work needed. I was also told by my service advisor this morning that the work I requested – brakes, tire pressure, tire rotation – was completed. Since the service manager saw no reason to do business and requested that I come by to get my vehicle. I was happy to go and get my property. When I asked about the cost of the services rendered, there was no charge. That was strange, but I quickly realized that there was no charge because none of the work I requested was completed over the last four days. This was a total waste of time and a huge aggravation! The one positive thing that came out for me, and I hope for everyone taking the time to read this review, is that these are not ethical and honorable people. You have other Chrysler service options in the area, and I hope anyone reading this review will decide to move your business elsewhere and free yourself of service hassles with this dealer. What can they have done differently you may ask? I think that the situation could have been properly managed and diffused if the service manager would have called and said – hello Mr. Alvarez, I understand the frustrations of having to wait for approvals from Chrysler. It is Friday late and there is not much I can do today, but you have my word that first thing on Monday I am going to personally call and track down what is needed to get you fixed up and out of here as quickly as possible. I would have responded – yes sir, thank you, that is fair enough. Instead the service manager ego got on the way of creative thinking and customer advocacy as all he wanted to do was xxxxx about the first line comment above. I don’t know what the sales side of this dealer is like, but the service side needs improvement. Sincerely, Jemssy Alvarez More
