We use advanced software and massive up-to-the minute databases of similar advertised vehicles nationwide, to recalculate and adjust pricing daily. We offer an unbiased price analysis report from KBB Price Advisor free of charge. For added transparency, use the Fair Market Range tool to know the fair purchase price. We’re sorry for the frustration and understand why seeing a $6,000 difference from the original value would be disappointing. We do want to clarify what happened. The initial value you received was generated through CarGurus, not by eCarOne. Before asking you to make the trip to our dealership, our team reviewed that value and determined it was not a realistic market value for the truck. Rather than have you drive in and then substantially change the number after you arrived, we contacted you beforehand. We even compared the truck with CarMax’s offer to make sure our revised number was competitive, and our offer came back approximately $1,000 higher. We understand that doesn’t make the change in value any less frustrating, and we apologize that the original CarGurus value created an expectation we ultimately could not meet. However, we never wanted to waste your time by having you come to the dealership based on a number we knew we couldn’t support. We chose to be upfront with you before your appointment, and we’re sorry the situation resulted in a negative experience.

We’re sorry for the frustration and that we weren’t able to put this deal together. Regarding outside financing, we do not work with outside lenders. Every bank and credit union can have different funding, documentation, and titling requirements, and those requirements become even more complicated with out-of-state transactions. We need a consistent process with fast funding and no lender-specific titling requirements, which our national lending partners provide. Customers are also welcome to purchase with verified funds if they prefer not to finance through one of our lenders. As for the vehicle, we understand how frustrating it was to be ready to move forward and learn that other customers already had appointments scheduled. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and do not take deposits to move one customer ahead of another who is already actively working with us. We try to apply that policy consistently and fairly. We apologize that the experience was disappointing. We appreciate that you were ready to purchase from eCarOne, and we’re sorry we weren’t able to make it work this time.
