We presented our needs with our budget and he was able to give us a variety of options that might work best for us. His honesty and professionalism was a welcome change to our previous experience with other dealerships. We could not find the whole package of what we were looking for until we went to Andy at Zumbrota Ford. He not only found us what we were looking for but when he ran into a problem the owner Steve Joh looking for until we went to Andy at Zumbrota Ford. He not only found us what we were looking for but when he ran into a problem the owner Steve Johnson got involved and we are now driving our new Ford Explorer and could not be happier. I was actually hadn't considered purchasing a Ford when I started my car search, we only stopped in the lot to drive through and eliminate that dealership as a potential place to purchase a midsize SU when I started my car search, we only stopped in the lot to drive through and eliminate that dealership as a potential place to purchase a midsize SUV/Crossover... We went up on a Monday at 6:30 to drive the lot, we were surprised to see the dealership open... It was sleeting and very unpleasant outside, we were not prepared to make a purchase that week let alone that day... Todd came out in the sleet and approached our car, he invited us in to talk about our needs and what we were looking for, since he came out the the nasty weather I gave him a chance and went inside... He asked us what we were looking to do, and how much we were looking to spend, and he found a car they had that fit the bill... We took a test drive and he nailed it, it was the perfect car for what I was looking for, and he got pretty close to our desired payment, I didn't want to spend all my money on a car payment... We tested a few cars and ended up liking the first car he selected a certified pre-owned Ford Edge 2010... The staff was friendly, helpful and got every option we wanted pretty close to the price we wanted.... In the end, not only was Todd able to change my opinion, but he got the right car for my family.... Great Job. More
We were looking to purchase a crossover SUV and made the rounds with several of popular dealers for test drives. The salesperson picked the vehicle which was the current test vehicle of the day and was fol rounds with several of popular dealers for test drives. The salesperson picked the vehicle which was the current test vehicle of the day and was followed by the usual sales pitch. At that point we were quite disappointed with the SUVs and dealers. Last on the list to test drive was a Ford Escape. Having a good experience in past at Zumbrota Ford, we headed there for a test drive. Zumbrota Ford is quite different. The first thing you notice is the friendly family atmosphere. Andy Melin helped us and listened to what we were looking for and made note of what we were currently driving. Based on that, Andy picked specific vehicles for us to test drive. We drove 4 different vehicles which was great; to be able test drive the different models at the same time and compare them. Andy was very knowledge about each and explained the differences. His goal was to find a SUV that we would fit our needs and we would be happy with. The next day we were back to test drive again, with a specific model in mind. That is when we sat down for the sales pitch, which really was more like a family conversation instead the usual negation game of chicken. Yes, they wanted sell a SUV; that is there business. However they want it to be a good experience so you come back again. Everyone from sales, finance, service and the rest of the staff really understand customer service. Andy was a joy to work with and his goal was to find the right a vehicle for us and not to push us into settling on something just to make the sale. When we picked up the SUV, Andy took the time to explain the controls and made sure we were comfortable with SUV operation before we left the lot. For what I paid for a used truck I should have almost just bought new. Over paid big time. I keep finding things wrong with truck. I do wish I would of seen all of this before cause I would have not bought the truck. Plus undercarriage is very rusty :( not impressed. Guess my loss was there gain. Will never buy from again or recommend. An the diamond necklace going away for promotion is worth about $10. It's a scam!!! More
My kids and I walked into Zumbrota Ford looking to upgrade from used to new. My attitude at first was that this will never work. But at least maybe they can tell me what steps I would need so I could purchase a car. First person I met was Matt Haas. He was energetic, and filled with enthusiasm. Have to admitt it was kind of catchy. I had filled out an application online so he got right down to business. He pulled up front in the Fusion that I would eventually drive home. It was love at first sight. I knew right away I had to have this car no ,matter what I had to do. We got to the dealership at about 11:45 am and the kids and I left at 4:45 pm. They worked hard to get me into this car. Kids have plenty of room in the back, and mom and dad have plenty of leg room in te front. The price was right, and the people worked hard to get the deal made. I haven't been this satisfied with a car deal in a very long time. Because I got the car I wanted and not hte one that someone sitting behind a desk that has never met me says I need. This was a great experience for me. Everyone we came into cantact with on this Saturday afternoon was very kind and concerned about the kids getting to bored. However my kids were almost more excited than I was. They were amazing that dy day. They sat there for 5 hours, no fighting, saying I'm bored can we go now. Instead they kept sayng " I can't wait to show dad the new car we boght". Matt Haas was very kind and appreciated us being so patient during the whole process. I'm glad my mother taught me that patience is very important. My wife and I went looking to see what type of car we could get that was affordable yet MPG friendly. Our first stop was at Zumbrota Ford in Zumbrota, MN. He was energetic and displayed a genuine concern for what we were looking for and in a budget we could afford. His superb listening skills and expertise coupled us with a 2013 Ford Focus SE. We test drove the vehicle, and my wife and I both believed that the car was comfortable, agile, and offered everything that we were looking for, along with excellent mileage. Gregg handled the finance aspect of our deal and was flawless in getting our paperwork done and us back on the road home. (with new car). I have talked with Todd on two separate occassions since that purchase on 4/6/13, he has answered questions about the new 6-spd transmission and alleviated any concerns I may have had. He has truly been an excellent salesperson for us and we cannot convey in words what his attention to detail has done for the level of enjoyment we had, purchasing this new car. The entire dealership is run with the utmost professionalism and at any given point you can hear laughter in the showroom, which told me that we were not the only customers having a good time and experience. My hat is off to Mr. Steve Johnson for having such a dealership and having the caring staff that he has in his employ. I have always been a GM owner and this first experience with Ford, and the crew at Zumbrota Ford, will keep me coming back and hopefully all the friends and family I tell, as well.
