It is very unfortunate that this experience has turned out the way it has for this reviewer. This reviewer is not aware that car dealers do not set the market price, that price is set by the people who are in the market for a particular vehicle and know that to get that unit, they will have to pay above market value price for an above market vehicle, just as a dealer does. We, like other dealers, would love to be able to run our business by what’s written in the books, however it doesn’t work out that way. As a dealer I know I make a mistake in value when a vehicle I have does not sell in 90 days or less. A customer knows their perception of price verses value was not in line with the “market value” when a vehicle they want is sold for more than they thought it to be worth. The F-250 that this reviewer looked at, and said was overpriced, was also viewed on the internet by many other shoppers. The truck was sold, by the very same salesman that helped this reviewer, to a buyer from Ohio who is just amazed at the excellent condition and very pleased with the service he received from us on this transaction. He drove it back home on a 17 hour trip and it performed flawlessly, in his mind the value far exceeded the price and the service was more than he expected. This satisfied buyer has since posted his comments on DealerRater. Whereas this customer, who passed on the opportunity to purchase and did not buy the truck, has posted rude and obnoxious statements on other sites voicing his dissatisfaction with us and the salesman that assisted him. I am sorry that this reviewer is unhappy with us, but we wish him the best and hope he has better experiences wherever he decides to shop. Ray Hernandez Owner Beatrice Ford Lincoln
