Car buying experience at Racine Toyota I loved the newly redesigned 18 Camry XSE. I decided to get it for my son who also liked the car. Buying experience was overall good since I was concerned about buying one across state lines. Sales rep Rachel was very helpful and thorough. She familiarized us with the car and made it quicker for us to get acquainted with it.She listened and addressed our concerns and made us feel at ease. She even called us a few times after we got the car to check if everything’s ok with our new purchase. More

First time buying, Last time buying from Racine Toyota This was my first time buying from a dealership and my second time buying a car. I had a very negative experience at the Racine Toyota dealership. Fir This was my first time buying from a dealership and my second time buying a car. I had a very negative experience at the Racine Toyota dealership. First, when I sat down to sign the paperwork and pay for my new car, there was a ~299 dollar additional charge (for some anti-theft etching or something done at the dealership) that was not in the advertised price. The disclaimer on the site only says taxes, seller's fees, and other fees for things required by law, which this was not. Furthermore, the etching was redundant of an anti-theft etching already done on the car before it was brought in. When talking to Jason about it, he insisted that their insurance forces them to do it. If that's the case, why not include it in the advertised price? In the end Racine Toyota only pulled down the price so that it was 49 dollars more than the advertised price and were unapologetic about the false advertising. Second, Jakub could not locate the second fob key as I filled out the paperwork. In the end, he said he'd call me in a day or two once he recovered it. The day or two turned into weeks, and Jakub insisted he was looking for it and appeared to suggest that, if he couldn't, he could get me a discount on getting a new one made. I found this unfair considering the dealership lost the key and not me. The final straw was three weeks after purchasing the car, I found myself stranded at my parents unable to get into my car because I had let my dad borrow the key to get it out of his driveway so he could drive up to Oshkosh and he accidentally took it with him. Third, when I finally received the second fob (a month later) one of the buttons was punched, making a large crack that exposed the pcb and components inside and the fob was terribly corroded. Fourth, within a day of driving the car I am having electrical issues. I get warning lights about the stability control and even the brakes. Jakub insisted that the car had gone through their "thorough" testing but with how I was treated by him, my doubts were in full bloom. With any opportunity to make up for the deceit and being strung along, Jakub failed. It is apparent that Jakub can't care to go a step further to try to make a situation a little better, aside offering a free car wash to an out of towner like me. I avidly warn people I know not to be lured to the Racine dealership because it is very obvious they prefer profit over service. More
