Much to our surprise, we traded in our car today!! My husband and I came to the Kenosha Subaru on 4/17/19 for a 30K maintenance check-up on our 2016 Legacy, which we also bought at this dealership. We My husband and I came to the Kenosha Subaru on 4/17/19 for a 30K maintenance check-up on our 2016 Legacy, which we also bought at this dealership. We wanted to test-drive an Outback just to see if it would work for us as our next car to be bought in the future. Never did we think we were going to buy a car that day! We test-drove an Outback Limited, and it was perfect because it was very similar to the Legacy, but with more cargo area in the back, which was exactly what we were looking for. We were impressed at the improved technology and increased safety changes which had been made in just the past 3 years. The 8.7 inch clearance from the ground was another feature which convinced us this was the car we needed. But how could we make the financing work?? Joe showed incredible patience as we tried to find a way to make the purchase possible. He understood our budget, price point for car payments, and interest rate needed to make everything work. We didn't have all our budget numbers with us, but Joe worked hard to "put all the pieces of the puzzle together" in order to make it possible for us to drive home in a 2019 Outback Limited. I think Joe's honesty throughout the negotiating process was one of the reasons we bought the Outback that day. We never felt we were being misled or that certain fees and costs were being hidden. Though he needed to frequently check with the manager, he was gone for only brief periods of time. Joe recognized that everyone's time was valuable, but that the information offered was also very important. We were given all the time we needed to crunch the numbers and decide what would work. Scott Dooley came to talk with us to further determine our financial needs and to find a way to make everything work. Thank you, Scott, for helping to put us in the driver's seat! Our experience continued to be positive when we met with Derek Wojciechowski in Financing. Loved that he color-coded where my husband and I were to sign! It's the simple details that can make the financing process easier, and Derek is a natural in putting people at ease. He even found more money for us to put down on the car by checking our previous service plan and learning that we had a sizable refund for the unused portion. No one expects to go to the Financing Dept. in a dealership and be told they actually have MORE money than originally thought. Again, it is Derek's attention to the details, be they small or large, that put us at ease and made the financing process simple and straightforward. After working with Joe and Derek at Kenosha Subaru, we drove away in our new Outback feeling like we had made the best decision possible, and that the price negotiations were fair to everyone involved. One more extra: Both Joe and Derek served tours of duty as Marines. We applaud Kenosha Subaru for hiring veterans, and can certainly vouch first-hand that their patience, friendliness and attention to detail are 3 important reasons we are return customers. Appointment error that turned out okay When I called for my first service appointment for my 2019 Outback, I asked what was included and the cost. I was told that there would be and oil ch When I called for my first service appointment for my 2019 Outback, I asked what was included and the cost. I was told that there would be and oil change and tire rotation, but at no charge. Surprised, and pleased, I made the appointment. When I arrived the service tech started to walk me through the three oil change choices, and the cost of each. I stated that I was told there would be no charge. Apparently the person on the appointment desk did not know to check whether the vehicle had a maintenance agreement (which I knew I did not have) before quoting "no charge". I was irritated that I was given the wrong information. The service rep spoke with the department manager, and they agreed to perform this maintenance for free. I was very happy with the result. More
