Used car manager Shy of Ethical I am 75 years old and a retired minister. I came to this dealership reeling from an auto accident in which my wife was T-boned by a driver running a red light. It was Thanksgiving and the day after (Friday) I felt desperate to find a suitable replacement car for transportation to Detroit, Michigan on Saturday afternoon. I found a great car on their lot but did not have time to have my mechanic check it out before I bought it. I asked the used car manager to help me here by agreeing to negotiate repairs if my mechanic found serious problems on Monday of the next week. He refused saying I wanted a 'blank check'. I said no, but there could be something serious they might have missed. He sang the praises of their inspection program even giving me a copy of said inspection showing used tires were good. When I drove the car from Holland to Grand Haven on US 31 I immediately knew the tires were 'thudding' on the smooth payment. I took it back and asked him to help me. He only offered to sell me a new set of tires !!!!! His attitude was that was all he could do. I walked away and took car to Discount Tire in Muskegon. The tires WERE, as I suspected, cupped from not being rotated by previous owner. This cost me $ 1100+ but with a rebate card of about $ 140 to be mailed to me. I called the dealership and told them the results and he said I did not listen earlier or he would have helped me. BAHUMBUG !!!! Eventually they did offer to send me a $ 400 check against the $ 1000 tire cost. Better then being completely robbed but sure not ethical especially when he knew I was in a real emotional and emergency bind. I told my Buick dealership saleman this story the same day and they were really smiling about this dealership. They asked me about the whether the dealership gave me a full tank of gas and a fresh oil change and I said no. They just shook their heads... More

She’s is just the sweetest! so we walked out to the lot and we looked at cars and I just couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for so she took down my information and has been looking non stop for my perfect vehicle and I think she just may have me sold on the one she sent me this morning 12-28-19! I recommend shay for all your vehicle needs seriously go and see her you will not regret it!! More

2016 Sierra transmission problems I contacted GMC service about transmission issues I was having with my truck, a 2016 Sierra 1500. After talking with the service advisor, my truck was I contacted GMC service about transmission issues I was having with my truck, a 2016 Sierra 1500. After talking with the service advisor, my truck was dropped off on a tow truck. It was diagnosed as I expected within a couple days. I purchased the extended service plan when I purchased the truck, and it paid for itself in this one visit. The vehicle was not purchased from Elhart. However, with this being the first claim on this contract/vehicle, the warranty company sent out an inspector to verify the concern before the claim was approved which took a couple extra days. Once the claim was approved, I was immediately set up with a rental car which was 100% covered by the service contract. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the work completed and the contact every step of the way from the service advisor (John Shannon) and the body shop/rental car rep (Brittany). The communication between departments and myself was great with a lot of hands involved. The only downside, to me, is the lengthy process involved when using an extended service plan. But, comparing the cost out of pocket with the cost using the service plan, it's well worth the money to me. More

I have multiple trucks and wanted to buy them for my fleet trucks. I then called the sales department and my sales person was no longer working at your store. I asked for another and they said they didn’t know and referred me the the manager. He said he would get back to me. I called three times asking for different departments and persons, each time I got the deer in the headlights response, even though I have purchased multiple vehicles and use your dealership to service all my fleet vehicles. I then found out where my old sales guy moved to and asked him about this seat cover purchase, he promptly took care of it used my points to buy my seat covers for my other vehicles. It’s going to be hard to buy more vehicles form your store when I only get good service if the sales person that I purchased my vehicles from is present. I’m really disappointed that service is dependent on one person not the whole organization More
I was very pleased. Elhart got my vechicle in very quickly and was finished as they promised. I like that they have shuttle service also.
