The service writers are ok but they need to learn more about the vehicles to explain the problems better and do better at returning phone calls. There are many things nice about a locally owned dealership, as opposed to a corporate multi-location dealership. Elhart GMC service department is a prime example. Service writers that are knowled dealership, as opposed to a corporate multi-location dealership. Elhart GMC service department is a prime example. Service writers that are knowledgeable about the technical details of repairs that are needed and can explain them to you. Service writers that keep you informed of progress and let you know as soon as repairs or maintenance is finished. Jon Shannon in Service Dept has been very helpful and efficient during many service visits over several years. Latest appointment for maintenance of Chevrolet Traverse was the same. More
