I took a day off work and secured a babysitter for my child so that my wife and I could view a pre-owned Lexus GX 460. This vehicle was priced at $42,500. After test driving the vehicle, we sat down to go over numbers. The final number ended up a few hundred dollars below $60,000! That's a $17,500 (30%) increase from the advertised price! This breakdown included a ridiculous and insulting charge of $5,000 for some inflation fee during our current economy. Which the salesperson Amber, attempted to explain, though seemed not confident presenting. This also included $1,500 for an optional LoJack system that ended up not being optional. Add another $2,500 in miscellaneous add-ons that I was not willing to pay. All of this did not include processing fees and tax, which I understand need to be paid. In the end, they baited a consumer with a price that they were not willing to honor. I did not negotiate the advertised price and was willing to pay this price, tax, title, and processing fees. Instead, I spent the morning away from my child and work responsibilities to listen to these scam artists attempt to upcharge 30% on a vehicle. Zeigler Chevrolet does not honor their pricing and clearly showcases false advertising at its finest. It continues to show how terribly these dealerships treat the consumers and shows the disingenuous employees that operate in the dealerships. I will smile at the day when they finally go under to companies like Carvana and Vroom, where we don't have to be subject to these awful tactics. I've submitted claims to BBB and the FTC based on the actions of this business. Look elsewhere! More

This place is a complete scam! The price they advertise online is far from the price you will pay out the door. I drove over 4 hours to look at a car, made an appointment and never even spoke with the person whom I made the appointment with. It took over 30 minutes for them to "find" the car and bring it to the front to test drive. They acted like they had never even heard of the online form (with NADA values) they asked me to fill out for my trade in. The trade in value they gave me while at the dealership was about $10,000 below the NADA values! They added approximately $12,000 in fees to the advertised price, that included my trade in! A car that was advertised for $50,000 (which had actually just dropped in price by $1000 from the day before I went to look at the car), was going to cost me $62,000! The sales managers kept trying to run numbers on their calculators right in front of me weren't even running the correct calculations (I'm in financing for a living, so I knew exactly what numbers should have been put in). Then dealing with the finance department was whole other experience. The man I dealt with was extremely rude! I just asked a couple of questions prior to me seeing the vehicle so I could set up my own financing, and he was beyond rude because I wasn't going to finance through them. STAY VERY FAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! More

SAVE YOURSELF FROM A HORRID EXPERIENCE AND DO NOT SAVE YOURSELF FROM A HORRID EXPERIENCE AND DO NOT SHOP AT ZEIGLER CHEVY!! I have bought many vehicles from many places over the years. Some expe SAVE YOURSELF FROM A HORRID EXPERIENCE AND DO NOT SHOP AT ZEIGLER CHEVY!! I have bought many vehicles from many places over the years. Some experiences have been good, some have been poor. However this experience is turning out to have been one of the MOST TERRIBLE experiences I have had. Please stay with me as I explain, there is a lot to go over. I scheduled an appointment with Zeigler Chevy (2 days in advance) to test drive a vehicle. When I got there it was like I had never made an appointment. No one was prepared to greet me and show me the vehicle. The car was parked in the back of the lot covered in snow and ice that had been there for a week. I had to wait at a sales associates’ desk while they figured out who I spoke with and tried to get the car ready. It was apparent from the start that my sales associate had little to no knowledge about the vehicle I was there to test drive. Perhaps because it was a Dodge at a Chevy lot? I would imagine they would provide me with an associate that at least knew about the vehicle or one who researched it as I had made an appointment well in advance. On my test drive I had many questions. The sales associate didn’t have any concrete answers to anything. Numerous times he tried to Google answers on his phone on the fly. I may as well had just showed up with my snow brush and taken the car out myself. When we returned to the dealership I gave the car a thorough walk around. When I looked under the car I saw tons of loose wiring that was hanging down. Needless to say this was extremely alarming. When I asked about this, I was met with a confused look. My sales associate went and spoke with management… the truck had never even been looked at by a mechanic and had never received a safety inspection! A dealership that would let a vehicle leave their lot with a customer behind the wheel that had not been looked at by their service department is negligent! I was told they would have a mechanic look at it first thing in the morning and I could come back to follow up on the vehicle. My sales associate said that he would call me in the early afternoon and let me know when the car was ready. I had to call 3 or 4 times (never having received any calls back) before I was told the vehicle was looked at and could come in to purchase. When I arrived back at Zeigler Chevy I waited almost an hour before my sales associate returned from some mission his manager sent him on. We began to discuss the purchase terms. This is where I almost lost my mind. The “Zeigler Price" aka total lie was around $34,500 on their website. The price that the sales associate and used car manager told me it would be was $49,500. They literally made up $15,000 in fees, market adjustments, and add ons THAT WEREN’T EVEN ON THE VEHICLE. This was a blatant and egregious attempt to steal money from me. I was completely enraged by this and immediately prepared to leave. Finally after they realized I would not permit them to rob me of $15,000 , they offered me the vehicle for $1,500 over sticker… some Zeigler Price guarantee online huh? And the only reason they came down was because I mentioned my cousin knew the owner of the auto group. God help anyone who comes to buy a car here and doesn’t name drop. This was the most stereotypical and cliché used car sales moment I could imagine and I was living it. The moral compass on the employees of Ziegler Chevy is appalling if this is a representation of the company. I was beyond insulted. Another huge issue was that my car was missing the drivers side pillar with handle. This cover the side air bag and allows you to enter and exit the vehicle easier. Again, no clue why this car was shown without this. My sales associate assured me one was on order and it would be there in a week. I verified this with him 3 more times before signing the paperwork with the financing person. Over a week later I began calling my sales associate about this. I had 3 different phone calls with him where I was basically given the run sound and told I would be called back… I never was. Finally he called me back and left a voice mail saying the part would be here in a month. So I was blatantly lied to about this part and the inside of my truck has an eye sore to stare at every waking moment I drive it. How fun! On top of ALL OF THIS my transmission is totally shot, the 4 wheel drive does not engage at all, and my air suspension is throwing codes. Thank God I paid almost $4,000 for the extended warranty. I have not had the chance to bring this in yet, but can only imagine the nightmare ahead of me when I go in for repairs. Which they won’t even do at their shop, service told me to take it to a Dodge dealer. In all I was sold an unsafe vehicle, during which they attempted to steal $15k from me and after that, lied straight to my face about parts/repairs to the vehicle so that I would go ahead and sign the contract. If I was not xxxx bent on holding them accountable, they would have never followed through. I never even got the manual or extra key fob they said they would give me that it came with. SAVE YOURSELF FROM A HORRID EXPERIENCE AND DO NOT SHOP AT ZEIGLER CHEVY!! More
