I went to this dealership with the intention of walkIng out of there with a great deal on a car but turned out to be too good to be true. Background before getting here: I have low credit, had already visi out of there with a great deal on a car but turned out to be too good to be true. Background before getting here: I have low credit, had already visited a dealership got approved but the car price was not sitting well, decided to go o. Car gurus and saw Zeigler had the exact same car for $4,000 less, called Zeigler spoke to a great lady who said we can work with you come in, decided to take the drive and hold off on the pending deal I already had at the other dealership. Upon my arrival at Zeigler, I off the bat told the salesperson that i wanted to see the 2020 Equinox’s that was being advertised, which was like the same one I saw at the previous dealership, upon exploring other options I was willing to buy a better equipped one because there were some features I kind of wanted but made it very clear to the salesperson that I was not willing to compromise on it not being an all wheel drive, that was a must! Finally, after an hour of talking and looking I was shown from what I assumed the perfect 2020 Equinox “AWD” with everything that I wanted and more. After saying yes to what I thought was the perfect car, I went ahead and ran my credit, again, and of course got the whole it’s Your credit speech. Shady part number 1. My loan interest was too high even though the same bank they were looking at had already approved me at a much lower rate, Zeigler said 16% but already had been approved at 10%, after going back and forth just on this discrepancy out of nowhere that 16% became 9.64%. Which right there and then red flag number one. Also when speaking to the financial person he told me he had no clue what a payment calculator was or how to use it, to which I responded how could that be if he’s the numbers guy and they have one on their website for customers like me to use! Although I was already uneasy of just those two incidents I went ahead and negotiated the final price of the vehicle that I thought was being sold to me, 2020 Equinox LT AWD, proceeded to call my insurance to add the car before stepping into the financial office to seal the deal. After spending 35min insuring the vehicle I noticed that my insurance card listed my so call 2020 Equinox as a 2WD not an AWD. Told my salesperson about this and he tried to get me to ignore it bc it was a mistake on the insurances end. I told him that can’t be if the vin number I gave my insurance was correct and that’s what it is saying. After disputing this, it turns out the vehicle that I was supposedly buying and they negotiated the price on was actually NEVER an AWD!!! I was beyond frustrated and annoyed because i articles there at 11:45am and now its 4:30pm. Then they had the nerve to try to convince me in just buying the car because according to them I didn’t need the AWD. I told all 3 of the salespersons that I had made that perfectly clear since the beginning that I was buying an AWD and that was non-negotiable. Instead of honoring their mistake they decided to clothes convince me on another car that I had already said no to,. To them ok well yes we made a mistake but if you want an all wheel drive you now need to pay for it. I felt like I was teased and punished for their mistake not mine. I negotiated the price with the salesperson and the financial advisor based on what they told me I was buying and if I had not noticed the insurance card they were going to sell me a vehicle that they were passing not to be! After 30 min of going back and forth they basically told me the deal was off even though this was their wrong doing, I was already approved, negotiated the price, guaranteed them a check for a $5,000 down payment, insured the vehicle, and wasted 4hrs there for me to end up with NOTHING. General Manager never came to speak with me and called after I left to voice my frustration and was told a General Manager or someone up-high the chain would call me back and no one ever did! On my way home stopped at another dealership and just mentioned that we had a horrible experience at Zeigler and the General Manager at this new dealership told me oh sounds like nothing new. Wow! What a waste of my time and effort now to start over Monday and hopefully not dealing with anything like this ever again! More

If we could give less we would. Our experience at Zeigler was by far and above the worst we encountered in our car buying experience. The car was priced online at a much lower price than they wanted out the was by far and above the worst we encountered in our car buying experience. The car was priced online at a much lower price than they wanted out the door. When given the option for a certified pre-owned package, we declined. That decision was criticized heavily to the point where a manager came to us and said that we were making the wrong choice and pushed further. We declined once again to no avail. The ad for the vehicle did not include any language that explained that a portion of the pro pack that costs $3000 was already part of the car, therefore jacking the process up further. We had already declined the certified pre-owned package and the pro pack as those were items we weren't interested in. Upon settling on a final, less than satisfactory number, we did some further research and learned that the vehicle was still under a manufacturer warranty. When we asked Jamal about this warranty he lied to us and said that it did not transfer between owners. Not only that, but when confronted with this information, the manager, explained that the warranty information was full of legal ease and hard to understand and that was the justification he gave for charging us even more for a certified package we didn't even want. He gave us an ultimatum and said we either take it certified or he charges us his fee for the pro pack which we ALREADY DECLINED. Ultimately, after 2 hours in the dealership, we walked away from a car we loved because we were treated with no respect, lied to, and misled. If you want to charge people a fee for "work" you have in the car, be up front about it. Include it in your ads. Why any honest business would blind side their customers with nearly double the sticker price to finance is unheard of. Every car buyer knows they will pay taxes, fees and title and registration costs. No potential buyer should expect to pay double the sticker price for a used car. We will not return to Zeigler Chevy or any dealership with the Zeigler name. They could have had life long customers and squandered that opportunity with shoddy business practices and dishonesty. Tony Horton good, dealership bad I buy cars every few years, so am used to the run around one gets at dealers, but Ziegler is the worst. They use the same tactics most dealers use, b I buy cars every few years, so am used to the run around one gets at dealers, but Ziegler is the worst. They use the same tactics most dealers use, but amplified. Every car automatically has $2495 of dealer installed options. You can negotiate that cost a little, but can’t get rid of them entirely. The online price does not include these markups. Then you get the sales pitch for all kinds of interior and exterior protections from a company the dealer has stock in/partially owns. You say no to that, then they tell you financing will cost twice as much if you don’t choose extended warranty with that same company. This is five hours after you’ve entered the dealership. Dealer prep/doc fee is $895. More
