If I could rate a 0 I would. They are everything that everyone hates about purchasing a car. I purchase a car every 2-3 years for the last 30 years. I love the negotiation portion and the entire experi everyone hates about purchasing a car. I purchase a car every 2-3 years for the last 30 years. I love the negotiation portion and the entire experience of going into the dealership. NOT THIS ONE. This dealership is the most deceitful, dishonest morally challenged dealership I have ever worked with. Zeigler owns MANY dealerships, and now I know how, I just don't know why. I enter the dealership looking at a used Equinox priced at $18800, advertised on the window as certified, and hopefully looking to negotiate from there. But if not; I would pay tax, title and licensing and be out the door no problem. Somewhere around $21500. NOT A CHANCE. Add on such as $1800 certification, $2400 additional warranty, etc etc.. Sales man offers me $25800 out the door. Car was $19000 to start. Zeigler is the old school false advertiser to waste your time to get you in the door. I am hitting EVERY social media outlet including BBB, KBB and facebook to make sure nobody gets this experience. Thanks and have a great day. More
I negotiated a price apparently with the New Car manager (Darius) who made me jump through hoops and made the experience horrible because I wanted to use my own credit union. He would not cooperate with my (Darius) who made me jump through hoops and made the experience horrible because I wanted to use my own credit union. He would not cooperate with my credit union at all and kept threatening that he was going to sell the truck out from underneath me even after I came in and signed all the paperwork. He stated the deal would not go through till after the check was received and wouldn't accept a deposit. I had to show up there on a Saturday morning at 8:30am sign all of their paperwork to get a bill of sale to take to my credit union to get a check to bring it back right away so that the vehicle would not be sold even after paperwork was signed. He also stated on Friday afternoon that he would put the car towards the back in hopes that it wouldn't be sold by Saturday morning. After arriving at the dealership and seeing the vehicle I intended to purchase in the front of the lot up on one of the ramps I can not even explain the mis-trust that he caused for the Ziegler name. Once in the door the "out the door" price that I negotiated with him was then adjusted to include even more fees. I refussed to pay anything above what I was quoted. Through nothing but an extreme hassle I then ran around to get funds from my credit union just so they would not sell the vehicle out from underneath me durring this process. They have lost a client for a lifetime over one employee who wanted nothing more than to get financing through their banks instead of respecting me as a consumer and honoring my credit union. Oh and one more thing. The branch manager of my credit union called and spoke with Darius on Friday evening at 7:30pm (Yes this is my credit union!! They go the extra mile) just to get the paperwork to avoid my running around on Saturday and he told him the same thing. He will sell the truck out from underneath me until they have the money for the truck. Talk about making a stressful experience of purchasing a vehicle even more stressful. More

Our salesperson was On 5/22/20, we went to Zeigler Auto Group at 1230 E Golf Rd in Schaumburg. We were looking for a 2020 Chevy Traverse AWD Premier. Our salesperson was Jason Schook. He showed us the car and offered to let us take it home overnight to see how it fits our family. As we had it at our home, we took time to notice a blemish on the front grill and numerous interior scuffs that we would not have expected. We asked if we could get a different vehicle, but were told they did not have another car on the lot. The interior was never fully prepped as reflected by an excessive amount of blue and red fibers in the carpet. We can only suspect these were from the original interior delivery material. We returned on 5/23/20 and proceeded to talk with Jason about the car. We were there for almost 6 hours. Some of the time waiting for Jason, some of the time simply the two of us discussing whether to buy a new car in this condition, several hours waiting for finance, and the rest of the time actually purchasing the car. Time actually spent with Jason was limited. Our specific experience can be categorized by: 1. Extremely long and frustrating buying experience 2. Below average vehicle condition 3. Unapologetic and unresponsive management team 4. Either unethical or incompetent finance and parts personnel 5. Salesperson’s maniacal focus on his survey In my opinion More
I came in to buy the 2017 Chevy camaro. I test drive it with one of their salesperson then I met with another salesperson named Naser. I told him I wanted to test the car on the highway. He immediately gav with one of their salesperson then I met with another salesperson named Naser. I told him I wanted to test the car on the highway. He immediately gave me the key and told me to take it . I told him I don’t have insurance and he needed to bring someone with me. So he told me to just take the dealer plate and that car was insured no worries. Ok .. so I drive the car in highway to my home to test it and as I was parking at the check cashing place to get the rest of money to buy the car , I backed up and another person in parking lot was backing up at the same time. We barely hit each other and guy calls the police claims I hit him. Ok so police come I tell them my side he tells them his side of story. Officer tells me where’s your insurance and I told him what the dealer told me to say if the police stops me that I was test driving and the car is insured through dealer. I call Naser and ask him to come handle it. This will be my first car purchase and I told them that as well. Naser comes and tells both guy involved and officer that he was going to take care of the minor scratches no problem. Ok so officer didn’t write a report based on this agreement. I drive back shallowing Naser to the dealership. There he had me for 6 hours running my credit claiming that fraud alert stopped banks from lending me money. He previously told me even if I had no credit he was going to work something out for sure no matter what issue was with my credit because I put down $8000 down on it . and at the end @ around 9pm he asks me to find a co-signer . I was given the run around and was asked about my nationality and so many personal questions very uncomfortable pretending to be friendly but they actually were not. I was fasting I had not been eating and I told them that and I was exhausted I just wanted to go home. When they saw that I was not going to bring a co-signer , a manager named talal comes and starts trying to scam me out of money before I walk out. He tells me look because you are from yemen , the damage on the car is worth $1500 and I will only charge you $700 Or it will come out of Naser pocket. I was just beyond sick and tired of them at this point. I told him that it was not my responsibility. It’s your responsibility giving me the car and told me it had insurance and agreed with the officer you were going to take care of it. They all got so angry at me and the last deal that was supposed to go through which is I put down $10000 to drive off with the car , talal denied it. They told me we will use your information and give to the guy so he can go after you. after 6 long hours of me trying to get the car and I left home. Immediately after I got home I receive an email from Naser thanking me for coming by . He calls me the next day and my family answer and he is so unprofessional tells them that he is going to go to Saudi Arabia and tell my dad what happened . Then he says and by the way tell reem I have good news for her she needs to call me. I come back and call him he doesn’t answer. I call him the next day and ask him what the good news and he tells me well I asked the manger and he said that if you didn’t answer the phone just forget about it. I told him to not ever call me again if he had no buisness to discuss. I let him know that they were unprofessional. I urge anyone who is buying a car for the first time to stay away from this dealership. They will let you drive off with the car without asking for insurance or even license because they are disparate for money . They would hope you make any type of mistake so they can put the car on you or have you pay for something you are not responsible for. They are very unprofessional and they have a lot of fees that will add more that $5000 to the actual cost of the car. And if you didn’t purchase insurance yet they will try to sell you insurance for $200 a month with $400 down payment. Just pure greedy people. Not honest and will do anything to get money. More
Went into Zeigler Chevrolet in Schaumburg to purchase a used car based on the advertised price, agreed to purchase car at listed price of 16k, put a down payment down of 6k, they altered the contract to ta used car based on the advertised price, agreed to purchase car at listed price of 16k, put a down payment down of 6k, they altered the contract to take my down payment and sell me the car at the listed price, when the time to sign came I asked again if the price would be 16k that we agreed upon, they said yes, final contract shows list price of 21,200 effectively stealing my down payment. When I returned to the dealer to ask why the selling price is 21,200 they told me it’s because of the extra packages, they created charges to “eat up” my down payment and still “sell me the car at the advertised price”. They even offered to give me $750 to go away. Please see the attached files which show the advertised vehicle and the contract which stole my down payment. Worst dealership and experience ever! DO NOT BUY HERE! I learned a valuable life lesson when I bought a brand new 2020 Chevy Silverado with a MSRP of $43k from this shady dealership. Was quoted a sales pric learned a valuable life lesson when I bought a brand new 2020 Chevy Silverado with a MSRP of $43k from this shady dealership. Was quoted a sales price of $32k after rebates, Incentives, and discounts. Due to my lower credit score, I was offered high interest rates which I declined since the payment would have been outlandish. I told my Advisor that I would keep him in mind when I got my credit score back up. As I started to leave the General Manager asked if I would buy the truck if he got me a 3% rate. I laughed and said, "Sure because that would be a miracle with my low score." In less than 5-minutes my Advisor said I got approved. I was thrilled! A new truck, $11k under MSRP plus a 3% rate. When signing my paperwork I noticed that the sale price on the contract was $48k! I challenged that figure and the Finance Manager told me not to take "stock" in that figure since it was inflated to look good for GM Financial. He then said it was a numbers game but I would be getting the truck at the price quoted and showed me the 3% rate. I was asked about $1k Gap insurance policy and declined. I was told that I would need to sign a form to decline which I did. I walked out happy but that all changed within a few hours. - On my way home I noticed that the center console my Advisor boasted as having immense storage did not even open. - When I called the next day to activate Onstar I learned my $43k truck didn't even have it or Sirius XM or Navigation. All features I was told were equipped on the vehicle. - A few days later I was reviewing my contract to see a payment due date when I noticed there was no reference to any of the over $10k in incentives and rebates I was told I would receive that were also included into the $32k sales price. Multiple attempts to contact the dealership about this obvious error were in vain. - A month later I was finally able to get an appointment with the General Manager and drove 3-hours to meet in person. As I tried multiple times to explain the missing $10k in incentives and discounts to the GM all he did was avoid it. Finally...he got mad, stood up, and said, "You didn't get any incentives or discounts because I got you approved for the "0% GM Special Financing Offer" which nullified all incentives and discounts. I showed him my contract that said 3% and told him GM Financial confirmed that I did not get 0% financing. He then said that my 3% rate was part of the "0% GM Special Financing PROGRAM" that nullified everything. I asked him to show me proof of this unadvertised, undocumented, and unknown 3% PROGRAM since there is no mention of it on any GM, Chevy, GM Financial, or Zeigler websites. A Google search produces zero results. GM Financial and two different Chevy Representatives said there is not a "0% GM Special Financing PROGRAM" or a "3% Special Financing PROGRAM." When confronted, the GM told me how he hopes I sue because he wants to tell a Judge how ungrateful I am. Yes, I'm ungrateful because Zeigler stole almost $11k in incentives and discounts which I was quoted as eligible to receive. Yes, because the form I signed declining the $1k Gap policy was actually a consent form. Yes, because the truck I was told had immense center console storage, Onstar, Sirius XM, and navigation as standard equipment actually had none of those. Yes, because my 20" wheels you said were standard were actually 18" wheels. Yes, because my second key and fob you promised to see me almost 3-months ago have yet to arrive. Yes, because the perfect dealer survey you thanked me for is actually a survey I never received, completed, or submitted. Yes, because the $5500 you said you were giving me for my trade was only $2800 I would learn weeks later. - This is just some of the reasons not to buy from Zeigler Chevrolet. I filed a formal complaint with Chevy but was told it's "in-progress" still. That is fine because I also plan to submit claims to the Illinois Attorney General, FTC, Illinois Fraud Division, BBB, and Chicago Area Dealer Association. I wish it were possible to rate this dealership lower. Immoral, unethical, and deceptive. Do not buy here! Run!!! More
