Went Friday to buy a car. Called ahead to verify the advertised price was the advertised price and to see what extra fees or add-ons there would be. I was assured the price was the price and anything additional would be purely optional. Liked the car and ready to buy. They came back with $20K in additional "options." When I told them I wasn't interested, I was told the $2995 for the LoJack was not optional and it was already installed. I said I didn't want it and they could take it off. They said they couldn't. I shared with them my conversation ahead of time with Kelsey verifying the price before I drove down there. They basically told me I was wrong. I walked. Some "manager" called me 15 minutes after I left saying the paint protection was already on the car and he'd give me the pain protection for free if I paid for the LoJack. I said no. He then said it was all put on the car because they had a different buyer coming the next day and he wanted it. He told me if that deal fell through, he'd sell the car to me for the advertised price on Monday. Received a call Tuesday that the car was available and they wanted to make a deal. I asked them to send me the numbers. The following day got a message that the car sold despite us having a verbal deal. Very deceptive and likely illegal dealings. More
