That meant a lot to me because it meant that if I recommended someone to him, he'd likely reflect well on me, too. 3. He was able to listen and figure out my needs without "working too hard." No stilted conversation, no forced conversation. In 15 minutes, he understood what I was looking for... and what I wasn't looking for. No trying to up-sell me on anything I didn't need. 4. Price was on the table immediately. By putting everything on the table—including both features and finances—we were able to dial into the right car very, very quickly. It also demonstrated to me a fearlessness about dealing with issues... important because if I have a problem down the road, it means he'll be willing to address it. 5. Fun. Jon's comfortable in his skin, which makes him easy to be around. Trust is something that takes time to cultivate, and where it starts is with consistency of action.
