York replaced my alternator. When they called me to authorize the work, they insisted I needed a new serpentine belt. I had the belt replaced less than a year ago at my local dealer. When I told them that they still insisted it was worn and needed to be replaced. I told them the original lasted 200,000 miles, if a Mopar replacement belt didn't last 10,000 I wouldn't be putting another Mopar belt on it. When I got my truck back I took it to my local dealer. I told them what happened and they looked at my truck. They said there was nothing wrong with my belt. There are no cracks and the print is still on it. I am satisfied with the work they did but not with their customer service. I wouldn't take my vehicle back to York unless I broke down in front of their lot. You have to be able to trust your mechanic and you can't do that when they try to pad the bill. More
