The valet and the check-in/counter person are excellent. Neither were welcoming or comfortable. The sales office was filled with people (including KIA employees) on the phone constantly, talking loudly, some even on speakerphone. And it should not take almost 2 hours for just a NYS inspection, especially since I had an appointment and was on time. More
Yonkers Kia went above and beyond to help when my family and I were dealing with a tough situation. Our car was not drivable 1000 + miles from our return drive on a family vacation. The service manager agreed to keep my vehicle for an extended period of time and also offered to shuttle my family to the airport to pick up a rental. Every person we spoke to was accommodating and sympathetic. I live in Florida but if I were local to NY Yonkers Kia would get my future business. I have been dealing with a oil consumption problem. When I brought my car in to the dealer with 99,487 miles on it and reported the issue, he had me follow a protocol to return it in 1000 miles to check it I brought my car in to the dealer with 99,487 miles on it and reported the issue, he had me follow a protocol to return it in 1000 miles to check it and run tests. I have followed their protocol only to find out KIA denied my claim, since it had passed the 100,000 mile warranty. My initial 2 invoices neglected to enter the mileage. If it was NOT under warranty, they would NOT have had me follow this strict protocol. Not to mention, a month prior, I had to replace my Catalytic converter for $2000! I am possed beyond words and would never recommend a Kia because of how they are handling my situation More
The rep at the front desk let me wasted my cab fare. I called in and previous receptionist said I could come in as an emergency. The rep at the front decides otherwise. I always thought that emergency Give precedent over everything else. Anyways, I did not mind waiting 2 hours to be seen, chances are my case might not need to leave my car. Turns out I was right, she have the nerve after I left to call me back that someone could see me in 20 minutes! A while entire day turns out in 20 minutes smh...Hello! I came in for a simple oil change and after 1.5 hours I was given a laundry list of brake parts that needed to be replaced. I refused to pay for additional services and requested my car back and i only paid for the oil change. They insist the car was in serious dangerous conditions and not drivable. I still insisted to get my car back. They pulled the car to front with hesitation. I attempted to drive and I was not able to drive the car out of the parking area. I walked back to the service area and asked what happened to my car. They then told me the way the car is now is how the car came in and that's why they expressed why the car can't be driven which was untrue I drove 30mins to the dealership and at this point I could not drive the car. I kept asking what did they do to my car that I cannot drive it now. They kept telling me that calipers have seized due to the size of the tires. My car has staggered tires and when they rotated my tires the larger tire was rotated to the front and now the calipers seized. The calipers would be covered under warranty but I still needed to get new brakes rotors and tires which were over $4k. They were not able to fix my car any further at that time because the parts needed to be ordered. I told them I was not going to pay for parts that were prematurely worn due their fault or incorrectly rotating staggered tires incorrectly. They didn't even offer a loaner car so I can get back home. I had to continuously ask for a loaner until they provided one. They said they would order all the parts and work on the car the following week but it was best that I left the car. I came back in with my boyfriend the next day to reiterate that they would not charge for any parts and they agreed. During the week they kept saying the parts were not in yet and that I should follow up with the other dealer ship where I originally purchased my car and asked for correct tire size because that is what caused the calipers from seizing and that was culprit. I kept calling to follow-up in the status of the car and they kept asking if I was going to buy new tires. I told them that I would follow up with the other dealership. After a week of my car at the dealership I called and they said my car was ready without any new parts or tires. They said they were able to put my current parts back the same way as they were when I drove in a week ago. This was very frustrating to hear and to go through as I believe they did something to my car so I would not be able to drive it out and try to get me to buy new car parts. I picked up my car with no further issues and the car drives normally as usual. Be aware if they do something like that to you as well. More
