I VISITED YONKERS HONDA ON 12/23/23 BEING THAT IS THE CLOSEST TO MY RESIDENCE TO PURCHASE A 2024 HONDA CIVIC TYPE R. BEING THAT IT IS A RARE MODEL I WAS WILLING TO PURCHASE AT CLOSE TO $4000 ABOVE MSRP. CLOSEST TO MY RESIDENCE TO PURCHASE A 2024 HONDA CIVIC TYPE R. BEING THAT IT IS A RARE MODEL I WAS WILLING TO PURCHASE AT CLOSE TO $4000 ABOVE MSRP. WHEN NORMALLY I NEVER PURCHASE BEYOND MSRP AND ALWAYS NEGOTIATE MSRP TO LOWEST DEAL. MY SALES REP WAS GEORGE STEFO VERY PROFFESIONAL SALES REP AND EXPLAINED TO ME EVERYTHING THROUGH THE PROCESS DEAL. ALL APR'S WERE EXPLAINED TO ME IN FRONT OF THE SCREEN WHICH I WITNESSED MY SELF WITH MY OWN EYES AN NOTHING HIDDEN. UNTIL THE DEAL WAS ABOUT TO BE SET WITH A $25000 CASH DOWN AND EVERYTHING HAD TO BE CHECKED BY THE MANAGER MICHAEL LAPADULA. AS I WAS AT THE BANK PICKING UP THE CERTIFIED CHECK MICHAEL CALLS ME TO TELL ME THAT THE APR IS HIGHER ON THAT SPECIFIC MODEL WHICH THE SALES REP GEORGE NEVER SAID OR SHOWED ME ON THE HONDA WEBSITE OR IN WRITING. MEANWHILE THE SALES REP HAD TOLD ME HE HAS SOLD MULTIPLE TYPE R'S AND HE NEVER MENTION THIS TO ME VERBALLY. I GOT VERY PISSED AT MICHEAL FOR HIS UN PROFFESIONALISM TO COME AND SAY THAT JUST WHEN DEAL WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. TO ME THEY, THE DEALER WANTED TO STICK ME THE FULL MARKUP OF THE CAR IN THE LONG RUN WHICH WAS $10K ABOVE STICKER PRICE. THIS IS WHY WHEN CUSTOMERS GO OUT FOR A NEW CAR OR PREOWNED ALWAYS DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU CLOSE THAT DEAL BEACAUSE WHAT HAPPENS BETWEEN THE MANAGER AND THE FINANCIAL REP, THESE ARE THE 2 BIGGEST CROOKS YOU GOT TO WATCH FOR AFTER YOU FINISH WITH THE SALES REP. I WILL GO AND TAKE MY BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE EVEN IF THEY TRY TO SELL ME THE CAR AT MSRP. YONKERS HONDA TO ME THEY'RE DEAD. More
I've been going to the Yonkers Honda service center since 2013. Two days ago I brought my car in for service on the brakes and an oil change. This was the first time I felt the upsell from the sales rep. "4 2013. Two days ago I brought my car in for service on the brakes and an oil change. This was the first time I felt the upsell from the sales rep. "4 Critical" items needed immediate attention. Turns out the only real critical service required was for my brakes which I already expected. I had to question the almost $2000 quote to only be told "They just list it all as critical, no you don't need to do the RECOMMENDED service." That left a very bitter taste because Edson Reyes and the paperwork indicated "Critical" on paper but when I questioned it admitted it was only recommended. In addition, he ignored my question on a loyal customer discount which I have received before. NOT THE WAY TO RETAIN CUSTOMER LOYALTY. I NO LONGER RECOMMEND YONKER HONDA SERVICE. Funny how typically before I even leave I get a request to rate the service and this time I did not. VERY SHADY! More
