I was disgruntled with previous service that I had at Yates. Joe Bohlman reassured me that my experience would be a good one and did everything in his power to help me out. Your dealership is friendly and polite, from the receptionist to accounting and especially service. I traded a Late model Lexus with low mileage for a new 2011 GMC Terrain SLT. I prefer to work with car dealers via email and over the internet. I have had too many bad experiences in the past with heavy 2011 GMC Terrain SLT. I prefer to work with car dealers via email and over the internet. I have had too many bad experiences in the past with heavy set salesmen with dirty ties and chezzy high pressure tactics. I shopped 4 local AZ Valley dealers. Yates may not be the largest but was certaintly the most equipped to doing business through the internet group. I pre-arranged pricing for the new vehicle and even received a pre-inspection price for my trade-in. Some of the other dealers claim to have an internet department but it consist of some septuagenarian who simply replys to your request with a form letter telling you to come out and visit them. THIS DOESNT WORK IN 2011 and Yates knows that. They have a team of savvy sales people that give you honest up front pricing with no games. Since my trade-in was almost even and the finance manager Brent know that I had no interest in the after market stuff and financing I was in and out in five minutes without having to listen to the pitch on extended warranties, gap protection, desert plus package, and all that other stuff that dealers try to hook you on. When all the other dealers were in the NO business - Yates was in the Yes business. (One dealer even called my trade-in a dressed up camry and shot me an almost criminal price for the Trade-In). I dont know about you but I have no use or time for those dealers. I will go back to Yates again. I do recommend you go through the internet group and avoid the dealership on the weekends. They seem to be very busy. Deal by email and close the transaction in the evening on a weekday. BUYING AND TRADING A CAR DOESNT HAVE TO BE AN ALL DAY EVENT. More
I enjoyed my experience at Yates with Brad because he was corteous in dealing with him and knowledgable about the vehicle I purchased. He wasn't pushy in making the sale. John was so nice to work with, he didn't pressure me or try to upsell me into a pricier vehicle. I told him I was purchasing an Avalanche for my fiance who is currently deployed overseas & that I wasn't i try to upsell me into a pricier vehicle. John explained everything I needed to know about the vehicle & it's history. I was so happy to find a vehicle online and avoid spending 8 hours tied up at the dealership. Since I had driven my car to the dealership, John offered to drive one vehicle home for me & have another employee follow him so he could get back to the dealership. Before my fiance had deployed we were looking at other Avalanches & this was the best price we found for a vehicle with so few miles. We were very impressed with John's willingness to accommodate us. We didn't realize how far away the dealership was when we researched the vehicle online, so he voluntarily brought it to our home fo accommodate us. We didn't agree to purchase the vehicle until more than 2 months later when John contacted us with further incentives for our consideration. Yates dealership is a dealership that is "head and shoulders" above other dealerships we have visited. There was no pressure, but the opportunity to voice our concerns and needs and wants. John was most helpful, Kevin was up front from the very start and I must say this was a breath of fresh air compared to the last experience we had in purchasing a new vehicle. Yates dealership is first class and I look forward to them servicing our new vehicle as well. Having my own business before I retired, I recognize the importance of coming right with your customers, and these people did just that. I will recommend them in a heart beat. Joe worked with me to get warrantee work done on my wife's Enclave. He completely explained what he would do, and the possible outcomes and follow-on actions available. He had the technicians trouble wife's Enclave. He completely explained what he would do, and the possible outcomes and follow-on actions available. He had the technicians troubleshoot and reload the nav unit. Even though it didn't fix the problem, I had no doubts that it would be as I already knew the next step in the process. I will always have my GM vehicles serviced here (Yates) for that reason alone. More
