We regret that your experience has led you to leave us a negative review. We forwarded your concerns to proper management for more information. We did the vehicle inspection including an oil change months before you leased your vehicle about a month ago. We got the clips from parts and re-secured the heat shield and let you know the vehicle was ready to go and charged you for the 4 or 5 clips we put in, which came out to be $6 and some change. You did not think you should have to pay for anything and that this should all be covered under your warranty. Unfortunately, something like this is considered outside influence because you hit the bump and knocked the clips loose. We see it all the time, but unfortunately it is not a warranty item. In the end, we took care of the bill for you out of goodwill. Please know that like all mechanical items, there is always a chance of break-down or repair that may need to be performed at any interval in its working life-span, no matter the age of the vehicle.

It is absolutely clear that those clips were not put back in the vehicle at the time of the oil change. My husband was a ASM at a Toyota dealership for many years and the likely hood of me hitting a small bump & all the clips come out at the same time is extremely rare. However it is very common to leave the bolts out. We are well aware under normal circumstances this would be a customer pay. My main concern is not paying for the clips it was the poor customer service I received from your service advisor.
