I wanted to write about the truly amazing care we received at Wyatt- Johnson Hyundai!! First I should say this will not be a review about how we walked in and the clouds parted for the perfect sale received at Wyatt- Johnson Hyundai!! First I should say this will not be a review about how we walked in and the clouds parted for the perfect sale. This is a review about how challenging it can be to purchase a car and how we came out of it alive and happy! My husband and I have a unique situation, I have all the credit and he makes all the money. This can be an unholy frustration when trying to secure financing for such a large purchase. We were warmly greeted when entering the sales floor, with our heads down in the inevitable defeat. We were waiting for the sly smile and the head shake that certainly meant "I'm sorry we can't help you". Instead we got a confidant smile and a "No problem follow me, I'm sure we can find you something!" We were lead to the used sales building where we found our salvation! Derek Johnson came to talk to my husband and I about just what he could do for us. We explained our terms, how much money we had to put down and what kind of payment we could make. We knew this may be impossible so we let Derek know that we would feel more comfortable if he would run the financing for us before we started looking. Derek gave us a heartfelt smile and said "I am not at all concerned about the financing, I know we have something to fit your needs!" Once we narrowed down what specifics we needed in a vehicle, we went to take a look around on the lot. We found a Hyundai that seemed to have everything we could have wished for! Time to take it on a test drive. I wish I could tell you that this car drove like a dream. Well it did except for the tiny shudder in the engine... I know what you're thinking, problems on the test drive. RUN for your life! Derek handled this issue like a true professional, he explained what the shudder was probably from and assured us they would take care of the problem. I ask if I would be allowed to test drive it again once it was repaired, he replied of course I would. Now down to the dreaded part of buying a car, the FINANCING. This was going to be hard now that I had a pretty vehicle in mind. I didn't truly believe that we were going to be able to work something out. Mike Churn the used car manager moved mountains for my husband and I. Mike went to bat for us, finding discounts and promotions to get us something we could manage. If it was a marshmallow world we would all be able to get everything for just what in our mind it should cost. We did not walk out with the payment we had in mind, we walked out with something that would not cover us in debt for a life time and keep food on our table. This financing effort was made possible by Mike and his tenacity and Misty Turner and her amazing knowledge of the lending world! She not only found a lender that would work with our unique situation, she also found one that would be beneficial to our other car payment. How awesome is that, to be able to reduce your bills by buying a new car! Misty finished our paper work with the cherry on top of an extended warranty and gap insurance for a fraction of what we thought it would cost. She assured us she would take care of all the details like the tag, registration, and insurance. So you would think our journey was over. While working with Misty, Derek had the Hyundai inspected. They service team was going to be able to fix the shudder no problem, only they would need to keep the car a few days. We let them know this was no problem, the issues being repaired was of the upmost priority and we didn't want them to have to rush. The incredible Mike surprised us with a very nice rental car, so we would not be inconvenienced while we waited. The amazing service team went a step beyond when repairing the shudder, and found a small part that would need to be replaced in the near future. They could have ignored this problem and I would have had a repair on my hands months down the line. Instead they ordered the part needed and let me know they would be happy to fix it when the part came in! In the end I now have a reliable affordable car! What a wonderful experience. Everyone, including staff we didn't work with went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Very few places can you walk into today, where everyone seems to enjoy their job!
