The keyless entry electronics within the drivers door trim isn’t working. All the electronic gadgetry on cars is a major reason I paid $3000 for additional warranty when buying this Ford Explorer Limited . Apparently because this keyless entry is embedded in the door frame, they designate this replacement part as a body and exterior category of repair and exclude it from warranty protection. Having been a Ford customer since 1976, I expected better of the company. I never thought I’d say it, but Toyota, Kia, or Honda may have to be what I shop for in the future. More
I've placed three calls into the service manager today, all have gone unreturned. I have no idea what is wrong with my vehicle, nor how long they intend to have it.
