Sorry to hear about your visit. We understand how frustrating car troubles are. We remember working on your vehicle and the battery did not fail the battery test, however, there was an update that needed to be performed. The update ssm 53801 is for a 12v battery drain caused by a software issue known by Ford. The ssm states if battery drain exists to start with update and test battery after install. Battery test at that point still says good and recharge. In good faith we would not sell anyone something when the test comes back as good. That would be wrong on all levels. I understand it ended up needing a battery as well, and we charged you for the battery, but only because we knew the original issue was fixed via the update we performed. If we just installed a battery , even if it says good but charge, and didn't correct the issue , you would be in a different situation where the good battery was drained due to a software issue making the new battery non warrantable costing you even more money.
