A couple weeks ago we went into ford just to look at our options..Earl Locke was there to greet us. Service department leaves a lot to be desired. This is my second visit to the service department. Bought a used Expedition. It has a recall on the seatbelts. Took 3 visits to correct. 1st visit de This is my second visit to the service department. Bought a used Expedition. It has a recall on the seatbelts. Took 3 visits to correct. 1st visit determined yes I needed the recall service but they didn’t have the parts… why schedule a recall appointment if you don’t have the parts. 2nd visit supposedly made the repair, but got home and the seatbelts locked and didn’t work at all. 3rd visit Had to drive back in with no seatbelt because they retracted in the locked position. This time they made the repair, but when I went to pick it up, the seatbelt covering pieces were all in the wrong spot, so I had to ask them to correct that as well and asked them to do that while I waited which took about an hour because they wanted their “top guy” to fix it for me. Implying the other folks were not competent in the first place. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt when I had the next recall which was a simple computer reflash for the cat converter. This time I called to schedule, but the scheduler couldn’t do it and said someone would have to call me back. A week later still no call. I called again and again the scheduler said they would have to call me back. 3 days later still no call. This time I asked to wait on hold until I could speak with a service tech at the dealership. Finally got it scheduled. Now the pickup debacle started. Got the auto text saying my car was ready. Asked for their pickup service. Tried for about 2.5 hours by text, call and by their service department call waiting on line to reach someone. They said they would get it scheduled and would call me soon to let me know a time. No call no text. After 3 hours of about 12 texts and about an hour sitting on hold with no response, I found a ride. And 5 minutes before arriving got a call from the service rep saying hey, what address do you want me to pick you up at. My response was that was over 3 hours ago. So my honest review… their service was subpar on my seatbelts on the first visit. Then their communication both scheduling and pickup were terrible on my second visit. I guess I’ll make the long drive to the next Ford Dealership next time. More
