Customer signed off on the work order and the estimate in the amount of $125.00, prior to the vehicle ever being serviced in our service department. The repair was never questioned at the time the customer was here, until after the vehicle was brought home and discussed with her husband.

"Woodfield Nissan takes extreme measures to help customers, even someone else's customer! Woodfield Nissan did NOT do the initial repair on this vehicle! We received the vehicle, partially repaired, from the clients body shop to re-program the rear view camera. Upon the technicians diagnosis, the vehicle had multiple fault codes. The codes were being driven from the main control unit as well as the new right rear sensor INSTALLED BY THE CLIENT'S BODY SHOP. After ordering and replacing the control unit, some fault codes were cleared, but the vehicle still had multiple fault codes from the BODY SHOP INSTALLED right rear obstacle sensor. After review with Techline, Nissan’s technical information line, the technician determined after several hours of diagnosis time that THE BODY SHOP INSTALLED THE INCORRECT RIGHT REAR SENSOR, which was setting multiple fault codes in the system. The technician ordered the correct sensor through Nissan Motor Corp., which had to be manually ordered because the vehicle was a 2016 model and the sensor was not available through the normal process. DUE TO WOODFIELD NISSAN'S PERSISTANCE, the Nissan Factory contacted their assembly plant in Franklin TN to acquire the correct right rear sensor, which because of a manual order of this part, took 2 1/2 weeks to receive. The customer was kept informed of this process by Mike, our service consultant, as well as by Marcell, our service manager. The customer's comment, after being informed, was for Marcell to "get in a plane and fly to Japan to acquire his part". It is a shame that the customer did NOT understand how parts availability was an issue, and chose to blame us for his unfortunate situation. In conclusion, Woodfield Nissan repaired a vehicle brought to us from an outside vendor, partially repaired with an INCORRECT sensor installed by HIS body shop. The customer was kept informed by Mike and Marcell, both by phone calls as well as in person. Roy Carr Fixed Operations Manager Woodfield Nissan
