I am very satisfied with my service visit. I was concerned about some noises in my car I thought might be suspension or front end, so I made a service appointment at Spartan Toyota. Terry listened carefully to what I was describing and verified he had entered the issues correctly in their computer system. The service technician could not get the symptoms to manifest, except for one, so he had me ride with him to be sure he wasn’t missing anything. He checked my car over on the hoist, and told me everything looked fine to him. My car has 106,000+ miles on it. So, this relieved me that I wasn’t going to need to spend hundreds of dollars, as well as reassured me that some traveling I have coming up should not be a problem. While the estimate to inspect the several systems on the car was over $400.00, I ultimately was only charged about $81.00, which I thought was quite reasonable. I think it says a lot about the service team and about the lpdealership that they did not jack me up to replace a number of things when I didn’t really need to do so. More

In the 18-years we've used them, Spartan Toyota's dealership's Service Department has degraded into a money-grubbing operation that now appears either grossly incompetent or plainly crooked. In Febr dealership's Service Department has degraded into a money-grubbing operation that now appears either grossly incompetent or plainly crooked. In February 2024 in Macomb County MI, we bought a 2017 Prius Prime Premium with 62K miles. We brought it in to Spartan Service because there was a tire-pressure-sensor warning light and were told all the tire sensors were dead and the repair would cost over $1,000.00 !! I then took the car to Belle Tire, who within 10 minutes reset the system, verified all the individual tire sensors were good, checked the tires, and refused to let me pay for their service because we had in the past bought tires there. It wasn't a one-off. In May I took the car to Szott Toyota for an oil change and also received a thorough and clean multi-point inspection. Today, with the car running beautifully, my wife went to Spartan for a routine oil change and got pressured into an additional ~$200- transfluid change (on the sealed CVT with under 70K miles) and then refused their further $$ pressure to replace all tires & change out coolant, and etc, etc, etc. This greedy xxxx just preyed on a 73 year-old woman I've been married to over 50 years. We'll never do business with them again. RUN - DON'T WALK - AWAY FROM ALL BUSINESS WITH SPARTAN TOYOTA. Dr. Blaine White More
