You are absolutely correct, the windshield should have been ordered prior to your arrival an we should have had all of our paperwork in line ready to get your windshield replaced and get you on you way in just 2 to 3 hours. I sincerely apologize on behalf of the dealership for the lack of communication and the confusion with your paperwork. I'm glad to hear that our GM got involved and got you in a rental car and that we were able to deliver your car to you when ready. There is really no excuse for the lack of efficiency in handling your appointment and I apologize that whoever made your appointment and took your information failed to follow through. We appreciate your patience and will certainly use this information to improve our processes to hopefully prevent this from happening in the future. We appreciate your patronage and hope that you will give us another opportunity to show you that this level of service is very rare for our Service Department.
