I went in to buy a new car, where I already knew exactly what I was going to buy. Undisclosed market rate adjustments caused me to leave the dealership. The salesperson I worked with was friendly but the general manager Rich Alessi would not sell the car for MSRP. There was a 4,000$ markup on the car, and we were given figures of other cars there going up to $7000 over MSRP. After being told this was standard for all dealerships with this car (a 2023 AWD Corolla hybrid) the next dealer I called sold me MSRP with no questions asked or negotiations needed. More
Pleasant experience. Sales person was professional. Process was not difficult. They had the vehicle I came in for. Was able to structure an agreeable deal. Sales person was professional. Process was not difficult. They had the vehicle I came in for. Was able to structure an agreeable deal. More
TL;DR Richard Woolley, avoid him as your service advisor at all costs. He verbally berated me when I called to ask him some questions about my car. I will now never set foot in this otherwise nice dealershi at all costs. He verbally berated me when I called to ask him some questions about my car. I will now never set foot in this otherwise nice dealership because of him. I was recently helping my partner get an inspection done for a used Toyota Prius we had just bought. When I took it in, I was assigned Richard as my service advisor. At first, he was polite. When the inspection was done and it was time to discuss all of the issues that they found, I asked if I could record the audio of the conversation on my phone as my partner was not present with me and it would have been useful for me to have the audio of our conversation to share with her at home. He refused, and I said "OK, no worries," and respected his wishes by not recording the conversation. However, from that point on, any and all interactions with Richard became notably more hostile. I talked to him for about 5 minutes and he told me any remaining questions I have can be answered by the report he assembled for me. Trusting him, I left. When I got home and reviewed the report with my partner, we felt confused about some of it (the packet even told us to speak to our service advisor for more details). So I called, and when I got a hold of Richard, from the very beginning I was met with hostility. He started by insulting me for not understanding everything from the report and our prior conversation. Then he started talking about how he doesn't want to be held legally responsible for anything he says and said, "You even asked if you could record my voice yesterday, remember?!" Honestly, I don't get his whole hang-up on this point. When you call Woburn Toyota, they say the conversation is already being recorded on their end. Secondly, I at no point recorded our conversations. All I did was ask if it was OK with him if I did, and when he said no, I respected his wishes and didn't do so. I could understand the hostility if I recorded the conversation against his will, but that never happened. I tried reassuring him that I just wanted clarification about some of the issues I didn't get to talk to him about in our prior 5 minute conversation. Again, more condescension and hostility. I was basically berated for daring to ask questions about my car. The only reason I went to Woburn Toyota was to ask questions about my car. I feel it's pretty normal to want to ask questions about your car when mechanics find something wrong with it, especially if those repairs are projected to cost almost $4,000 from their estimates. I should have been able to do so without being berated, which is an insanely low bar that this dealership could not meet. More

They will Can’t drive new car 4th of July weekend. Contacted Sergio, Gavin Russo, Hank Ung. You have to call and call again and again to get anyone. They will never proactively follow up or call you. Paid over 50k for this vehicle. And a month later it’s not registered. Every week more excuses. Outright liars, never checked the title, have no details on the vehicle and no help. Now we are arguing over getting me a lease vehicle I can drive this weekend instead. Don’t believe anything they say to you unless it is in front of you and In Writing. Take your money and business and questions to a more reputable dealership. Avoid this place. More

If you’re financing a vehicle there, be aware that they will try sell you a bunch of insurance saying that was just few bucks more, when you realize and try cancel, be prepared for a war, they don’t answer calls, they never call you back, worst costumer service ever. I end up driving 1 hour from my house to the dealer, and i was mistreated for the financial advisor. Unfortunately i both a fabric/paint protection with the dealer, they was supposed to apply a ceramic coat protection on the vehicle, before you drive out. I wasn’t aware of that, because they don’t want you to know that, when they hand me the key, the car was dirty, i ask the salesman to bring the car for a another car wash. After a few days i did find out that before you drive the car out, the have to apply the ceramic coat on the car, and to do that the car has to be very clean. obviously they didn’t apply the paint protection, since then, I’m trying to cancel the paint/fabric protection with no success. Has been a month since. If you planning to buy car at Woburn Toyota be xtra careful, they will try to scam you with those insurance/protection things. And if you need something after you drive out the car, forget about, they don’t care about you anymore. I’ll bring them to court as my last resource to cancel. Very bad experience!!!!! More

I went in looking for a Rav4 Hybrid. On entry they showed me the trims, I picked one I liked, and showed me the price for it being MSRP plus delivery, and documentation fee. Looked reaso On entry they showed me the trims, I picked one I liked, and showed me the price for it being MSRP plus delivery, and documentation fee. Looked reasonable enough to me, so I was willing to buy. The sales woman then started showing me prices for Rav4 Hybrids online from Carmax, trying to convince me that used cars are the same price as new so they have to mark up the price above MSRP. Carmax has a reputation for marking up their vehicles which is the reason she specifically showed me Carmax prices. After showing me those prices, she brings out an invoice that was marked up $5,000 over MSRP, claiming it is a "market adjustment rate." I told her this is not the price we talked about, and that I was not comfortable paying that. She went upstairs to grab her manager who's this guy named Sergio to convince me to buy the car at the marked up price. This man used pressured speech tactics to try and confuse me, and was very aggressive in the way he talked to me, trying to get me to overpay for the vehicle. It felt like an interrogation the way he was asking me questions, and there was a point where he insinuated I was wealthy because my zip code is relatively close to Myopia where a lot of rich people live. He kept trying to get me to pay thousands over MSRP, attempting to use leverage in that I have an old car that may not be running for much longer, and need a new one soon. Imagine going to a sandwich shop, and the menu says the sandwich costs $8, then you go up to pay and the cashier tells you he's selling it at $14 now because they know the sandwich is popular, and they know you're starving. I told him I'm not paying a cent over, especially on a vehicle I have to wait multiple months to get. I would much rather just pay my mechanic to fix issues with my old car than give that money to them. I ended up finding the exact same car at a New Hampshire dealership at $100 under MSRP. Do not buy a car for over MSRP, it is a scam. They have plenty of cars coming, the "market adjustment" mark up is a tactic they use to get you to overpay. These dealer tactics are the reason why buying a car is such a painful experience. If you value your money I would not recommend buying from these guys. More
Very disappointed with Toyota of Woburn. All the attention given at the moment to sale me the car.. but after.. not even a phone call to explain why I don’t have my registration yet. 35 days All the attention given at the moment to sale me the car.. but after.. not even a phone call to explain why I don’t have my registration yet. 35 days past by and nothing. The car is parked. After many calls I found out they made a mistake on the RTA form.. come on! If I haven’t call the insurance would never find out the reason and my insurance would be canceled. Melvin was the salesman. Victor, I believe is the sales manager took the problem and is resolving. Anyway… lets see how long will take to get this registration… looks like toyota team is not doing their job and is a lack of information between them. More

Woburn Toyota and their finance dept are currently withholding $1500 owed to my wife after a vehicle trade in and have completely stopped responding to all correspondence attempts. This issue is the second we've had with them after they charged her for almost a year for a maintenence package they then claimed she never had. It took us nearly 8 months to resolve that issue despite receipts, invoices, and emails showing she'd signed up for and paid for said package. We are now on month 4 of waiting for the aforementioned $1500. All said we've wasted nearly a year fighting this finance department. Stay far away and go to any of Toyota dealerships just over the border in NH. Less sales tax and less predatory nonsense after purchase. More
