That seems all fine and dandy until you finalize a deal, complete all finance applications through them and become approved (through them which is a hard inquiry), GET INSURANCE ON THE VEHICLE and pay your PREMIUM, have the insurance company send them the paperwork proving the vehicle is insured. All so that they know it is a 100% sale and for any normal dealership would put a SOLD SIGN ON THE VEHICLE. All that is left is to sign the papers.3 Hours later they call you while your on the way to the dealership to say WE SOLD THE TRUCK........ I don’t care what rule you have for “ first come first serve” this is about ETHICS AND MORAL RESPONSIBILITY AND THEY FAILED MISERABLY. MY POINT IS.... IF THEY CAN DO THAT AND NOT BLINK AN EYE, WHAT ELSE ARE THEY CAPABLE OF!! THEY OBVIOUSLY DONT HAVE RESPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMER BASE AND ARE SOLELY ABOUT THE DOLLAR AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER. I had a great experience at Wiscasset Ford!! My salesperson, Laura, was great; and very patient with us. My Escape was not going to be ready until Monday-it needed brakes and 4 tires-and they gave salesperson, Laura, was great; and very patient with us. Jeff was extremely knowledgeable about the Explorers. He was also well prepared for our appointment. Even though he was selling two other vehicles that morning, at no time did we feel neglected. These guys are open, forthright, honest, empathetic, and helpful. I recommend Wiscasset Ford for as a place to go to find people you can trust. My vehicle is superb and I would fly 511 miles and then driv helpful. I recommend Wiscasset Ford for as a place to go to find people you can trust. I'm writing here for my review because somehow Ford screwed up the review I left for Wiscasset Ford as well as for my salesperson, Dave Warford. I left a great review but what got sent to him/them was screwed up the review I left for Wiscasset Ford as well as for my salesperson, Dave Warford. I left a great review but what got sent to him/them was an alert indicating I wasn't pleased which was grossly innaccurate! Although the process was different that I'm used to because of Covid-19, my salesman was fantastic and my experience was great. Dave heard what I was saying, brought 2 cars around that I'd asked to see but he knew they weren't quite right even before I did and after the 2nd try he realized that he had something on the lot that touched on all my requirements. He was so intune to what I needed and wanted that when I went to ask him about one more specific vehicle to look at, he'd already brought it around front, keys in it, ready to go. And it was the exact same truck that I was going to ask him about!! And it was the right truck in every way for both my needs and my husbands wish list too. Now THAT is a great salesman! It was perfect and we were out the door with a temp plate an hour or so later! The finance manager listened to what I said as well and got my payment where it needed to be. No hassles, no hidden costs. From the first contact with Kaitlyn to make the initial appt, to finish, it was seamless. I have never loved a vehicle more than this one in 35+ yrs of driving. Wiscasset Ford is top notch and I'd recommend them to anyone! Thank you guys!!! More

Great selection of vehicles and a great salesman was a winning combination for us. We can't sing Chris' praises enough, knowledgeable, polite and ready to assist anyway he can. Tom was very good in the finance office, but I was a little turned off by the continual sales pitch to sell extended warranty, insurance, rustproofing, etc. The biggest surprise to me came as we were ready to drive away with the vehicle to find out that there was only a 1/4 tank of gas in it. I actually went back in and asked about it and was told that used vehicles only get a $10 fuel voucher. I think there was definitely enough profit margin in a $17000 used vehicle to have filled the gas tank. Totally ended the buying experience on a negative note and will be the one thing I remember in the future as I look for vehicles. More
