Go there with five problems on your VW and you'll get get three fixed, while two will "not be found". Of the three problems that was fixed, expect that two will return in a couple of week. I believe this is three fixed, while two will "not be found". Of the three problems that was fixed, expect that two will return in a couple of week. I believe this is because of a combination of poor dealer training by the manufacturer, poor staff selection and poor management and debatable quality of the car itself. More
Do not go here!!! We went in based on a sale price the dealership had advertised, the price of a particular car was confirmed via phone. Went to buy it. A lunatic in their credit/loans comes out, proceed dealership had advertised, the price of a particular car was confirmed via phone. Went to buy it. A lunatic in their credit/loans comes out, proceeds YELL at us they don't do that price and we would have ONLY take out a loan through volkswagen, and we ONLY could take the deal with an 8.99 percentage rate on the loan!! As we tried to avoid the spit coming from this guys face, we explained we were already approved for an auto loan at 5% through our credit union. He swung his hand at my head and told me to take the auto loan through our credit union but then we would have to pay $5000 more for the car! This is all AFTER we had made an agreement with sales on the price. We told them to, well, in other words 'take a hike'. And went down the road to the other VW dealer and bought a car elsewhere. We thought about calling the cops right then and there because the guy was being so abusive and swinging his hands at us, but we just decided to get out of there and warn people NEVER to go here!! We bought our 2002 Eurovan from this dealer and the salesman was supposed to include a set of floor mats that he then lied about not being available anymore. This after stopping by 4 times to pick up salesman was supposed to include a set of floor mats that he then lied about not being available anymore. This after stopping by 4 times to pick up the mats, and cornering him in his lie because I called the parts department to confirm the mats were available, and in stock, a bad experience in the sales dept. Because it is close to our house we serviced our van here the first few times. The radio antenae broke and we asked them to repair it, the cable had become disconnected because we do have an aftermarket stereo installed. I expected to pay for the repair but they extended the antenae on the outside of the car and never checked it to determine thier was no reception, instead writing down "problem fixed" on the invoice. At least they didn't charge for extending the antenae I ended up taking it to a stereo store where they repaired it for 20 dollars. We take our car to a private non dealer garage named Pro Tech and have been very happy with the service. More
I bought a certified 2001 Passat Wagon in 08/2005. By their own service departments findings there is evidence of a prior collision repair and "the transmission is touching the floor". Since then they ha their own service departments findings there is evidence of a prior collision repair and "the transmission is touching the floor". Since then they have replaced a bent wheel, numerous other loose, missing parts and I still have a car that vibrates at 20 miles an hour. The service dept was very friendly and I always got a loaner car but since my car has been in the shop for close to a month all told that is not much comfort! I am trying to get another car or my money back and have been told they will not take the car back and I should take it elsewhere for service. Of couse now nobody is in when I call.... Buyers Beware!!!! More
I dropped my car off on Aug 8 to address a warning light issue, a dash creak/rattle and the 40K service. They had it for a week. After charging my $200 to decarbonize the throttle body, none of the problems issue, a dash creak/rattle and the 40K service. They had it for a week. After charging my $200 to decarbonize the throttle body, none of the problems were fixed so I brought it back 3 days later. They kept it for 2 more weeks. During this time I was never able to contact anyone in service to find out the status of my car. My car was returned with no gas and dirty. Drive it for one day and noted that rattle still present. Talked to Ted, the service manager, he assured me that they would fix it and fill it up with gas. Dropped it off again, picked up rental for 3rd time, they had it for 4 more days. No gas, rattle still present. Ted is not returning my calls, neither is anyone from service. This has still not been resolved as I write this. Additionally, they sold me the wrong touch up paint, refused to fix the area where I had applied the silver paint on a grey car. The $200 seat cover I got from them ripped within a year. I cannot say enough bad things about their service dept. Every time I was in there, there was someone else aguing with them about their service. Note also that I bought my car there. I warn anyone buying a VW to check out their service dept first. Do not be swayed by a slick sales dept, you deal with them once, you're stuck with their service dept for the life ofd your car. More
brought my 03 gti in for 15k mile service. a check engine light was on as well. when i picked the car up later that day the engine light was still on and when asked about it they said "well you didn't ask u light was on as well. when i picked the car up later that day the engine light was still on and when asked about it they said "well you didn't ask us to check the light:. it is my opinion that if a car is brought in for a 15k mile service they ought to check what the "check engine" light is referring to. furthermore, a visit to another vw service department revealed that livingston service had not tightened down the battery strap after service and had left "all sorts of things loose" in the front end of the car. to the point that the dealership that found the loose items questioned whether i had really brought the car to a certified vw service department. friendly, and gernerally courteous but shabby work More
