Shabby Treatment of a Loyal Customer I have been a loyal customer of Windy City for my car's service needs for over five years, so I was incredibly dismayed by my experience with the serv I have been a loyal customer of Windy City for my car's service needs for over five years, so I was incredibly dismayed by my experience with the service department last week. I went in for a routine oil change and wiper blade replacement, and after waiting for 1.5 hours, I was handed a bill for over $152 , with no explanation whatsoever! When I asked about the price, Jim said it was because of the wiper blades! Then, he proceeded to give me an exorbitantly-priced estimate for replacing my rear brakes, an unnecessary induction service and a brake fluid exchange, that--had I agree to all of it-- would end up costing me over $1000. My car has 62000 miles on it--not 162000! Not only did I not request a full checkup--but rather an oil change, wiper blades, and to have my rear right tire checked for a slow leak. My tire was never checked--or-if it was--I received no report about it, and one of the wiper blades was installed without removing the plastic insert, and I had to pull in to have it removed before heading out of town on a rainy day last week. I went home and did some research into the cost of replacing my rear brakes and on the necessity of an induction service and brake fluid exchange, and then called a few other local shops for estimates. Consequently, I can't see ever returning to Windy City. I can't see how you retain loyal customers when you treat them this way. More

I called to make an appointment & asked how long they would need it that day & Tim told me he would like it for half a day, I said that was fine. My appointment was for 8:30, I called at 12:30 & Zach told me Tim & the technician we’re out to lunch & he would have him call me back. Tim didn’t call me so I finally called at 3:30, Tim said they couldn’t find the problem I had told them about but would tell the technician again. He called me back & said they still had to do the the alignment & it would be ready in an hour. My half day turned into 8 hrs. The service writer has always kept in touch with me letting me know what’s going on. No this time. I’m very disappointed in the service department. More

Misleading, confusing, pushy I have attempted to give windy Chevrolet my business multiple times and each time has lead me elsewhere due to their poor practices of giving misleadi I have attempted to give windy Chevrolet my business multiple times and each time has lead me elsewhere due to their poor practices of giving misleading information and not following through with what they said. Recently they recommended new plugs and wires and wanted to charge over $750. When I referenced it with another Chevy shop, they said that was outrageous and should only be around $400. Probably will only use for oil changes moving forward. More
