Had a trailer brake controller installed. Picked up truck after service advisor said job was complete. Discovered after hooking up to the trailer that brake controller doesn’t work. Called service department and was told to install aftermarket controller or may need to install different body control module. Asked to speak with a manager at this point because the whole reason to pay for an original ford product was to have reliable original parts because I tow heavy regularly. If I really needed additional parts I should have been advised at the latest when the truck was in the shop and not sent home thinking everything was fine. Been a week and no word back from the manager. Should have known better than trusting this service department with my vehicle. Purchased a set of tires for another truck a number of years ago and they sent me out the door with the lug nuts loose. Made it about a mile down the road before someone flagged me down. At least they didn’t charge me to send someone out to jack the truck up and properly tighten things. Would give them a no star rating if possible. Not really a service advisor or parts department issue. Both provided excellent service. Management needs to resolve customer issues in a timely manner and if the job is beyond the capability of service personal the job needs to be referred to another dealer that can handle it. More
