Painless Upgrade I’ve never had such a great experience with a salesman as I had with Nicholas. He was very down to earth, polite and respectful. I came in with a Corvette and the intention to trade up for a Raptor. I paid a fair price for the Raptor and received a fair value for my trade in with very little haggling, and few of the typical car dealership “games”. I typically hate the idea of shopping for a new vehicle at a dealership because it’s usually a painful experience where you’re treated like a thief for refusing to pay the premium that dealerships are charging on top of MSRP these days. Not the case with Nicholas. If you’re in the market for a new Ford, or a luxury vehicle traded into their dealership, I urge you to contact Nicholas at Windward Ford. My only word of wisdom is to understand the fine print at the bottom of the estimate agreement prior to committing to a deal on a vehicle at this dealership. Windward Ford applies a paint coating called “Resistall” to all of their new vehicles. I cannot comment on whether this is really a valuable addition, as I’ve only owned the vehicle for two weeks thus far. What I can tell you is that this coating is a $1,500 “option” that you will be unable to refuse as it is applied before you ever set foot on the lot to look at the vehicle. This cost is tacked onto the total cost of the vehicle at the bottom of the estimate below the agreed upon total price of the vehicle. I urge you to insist this cost is included in your intended total price of the vehicle, or understand very clearly that you will be paying $1,500 in addition to the agreed upon price of the vehicle. More

Time consuming The car salesman was very good but that’s were it stops. The finance guy takes entirely to long to process your paperwork. They only have one guy and I waited hours to sit with him after I selected the car I wanted. He will talk about everything but the business at hand. He is extremely unfocused. Weeks after leaving with car he is still contacting me for additional documents that he should have already asked for. This experience was the worst I have ever had with a car purchase. More

Disappointed & Frustrated I purchased my vehicle at Windward Ford in 2005 and have been a very loyal customer ever since. I take my car there every 6 months for service (oil change, etc.). Although I have had my car for 13 years, the odometer reading is only 35,500 miles and the car looks great. In February 2018 the car started running rough/jerky. It is now July 2018 and to make a long painful story short, after several visits to Windward Ford (each time having to leave my car there for several days) and having to pay the diagnostic fee more than once plus other charges, the technicians have still not been able to determine why my car has been running rough/jerky since February. I was told that my car was old. I have written a letter to the Service Manager to document my complaint. Additionally, to add insult to injury, when I dropped off my car for the most recent service appointment because the "Check Engine" light went on for the second time since February (in addition to running rough/jerky), I was told they no longer provided shuttle service to my house (10-15 minutes away). So I had to pay a $25 cab fee to go home and then another $25 cab fee to pick up my car a few days later. Thank you, Windward Ford, for not rewarding your loyal customers! More

No Ka Oi! I was born and raised in Territorial Kailua, before Hawaii became a state so I try and keep all my business and money in Kailua whenever I can. When my wife and I decided to go shopping for her 'retirement car' a Plug-in Electric Hybrid, we narrowed the choices down to four different makes and models all on the Windward side. I had done some research online and made contact with Wayne Fukumoto via email to setup a visit and test drive, email is a great tool! We visited Windward Ford first because of the four dealerships I sent feelers out to, Wayne responded almost immediately . . . good job! After visiting with Wayne, and getting an idea of what kind of offers he had for our trade in and financing, my wife and I went to visit the other three dealerships (yes, all in one morning). My wife had her heart set on one of your competitors cars and the demo drive was great (happy to provide the information about our other choice if your review allows). We went back to see the FORD one last time to make our final decision and true to his word, Wayne "earned our business." Wayne gave us the best price for our trade in, Don Minnis gave us a great deal on financing, so good in fact that our credit union couldn't touch it! Don provided us with extended warranty options and finalized our paperwork and we drove home in our new Ford Fusion, Energi Titanium that evening! Can't say enough for Wayne and his down to earth approach to car sales. Being a "senior citizen" I've bought a few cars in my lifetime and I have to say that working with Wayne was the most painless experience I've ever had. He even gave us a price for the Ford we were looking at to take shopping with which in the past (we bought our last car in 2013) would never happen, talk about no pressure sales! Because we had to be at a dinner gathering, we had to leave before we were able to get the orientation and setup of the new car but Wayne made it a point to meet with us the next morning (Sunday) at opening and do the orientation and setup my wife with all the tech things like Bluetooth connection for the cellphone, seat adjustment and memory, etc. When my wife and I left the dealership we felt confident that if we needed any assistance, Wayne and the Ford team will be there for us. I'm hoping that when I'm ready to look for my retirement car, I can find something at Windward Ford! PS I can't remember the persons name or his title (he was very friendly and personable) but I had to play a tennis match in Kailua and didn't have time to run out and grab lunch (we were doing the paper work for the car sales) so this very nice gentleman was cooking hot dogs and hamburgers for the workers, cooked some up for me and my wife . . .
