Service department said nothing was wrong with the car. Battery kept failing. Subaru customer advocaey dept. said that they couldn't help unless I took car back to dealer. After return to dealer, they then said battery failed but that was okay since the car was 3 years old, and they would happily sell me a new battery for$400. If I buy a new car, it should remain reliable more than 3 years. I shouldn't have to replace the battery every 3 years. The dealership didn't even offer any discount on battery cost. Over-all the service department was not very customer oriented. More
I brought my 2013 Subaru Outback in with a check engine light on, needed a thermostat, which they fixed. They sent me an inspection report that stated that repairs requiring immediate attention included: A light on, needed a thermostat, which they fixed. They sent me an inspection report that stated that repairs requiring immediate attention included: A ball joint ($675) and they recommended struts be replaced at the same time. They based the ball joint recommendation on a noise they heard while driving it into the shop and the struts ($1275) based on mileage. If they would have actually looked they would have seen that the struts are only 2 years old (car drives great by the way). So they recommended $2100 in unnecessary service. In addition they put, under needs attention now, an air filter and cabin air filer, and again if they would have actually looked they would have seen that these too were recently replaced. They recommended more than $2200 in service that did not need to be done, they obviously didn't even look before making the recommendations, and these items were on the inspection report as urgently needed to be done (marked in red). They told me the details when I called and asked but looking at the approval list you get in email it appeared by car would fall apart if I did not immediately do all of their recommended service. To me it appears as though this is a service department trying to take advantage of people who don't understand cars, they are deceptive practices for sure bordering on fraud. More
Oh, I looked at a new Subaru on the floor multiple times waiting two hours for my oil change, I would walk around it, finally , after my fifth look, I walked up to the counter, and asked the fella how many waiting two hours for my oil change, I would walk around it, finally , after my fifth look, I walked up to the counter, and asked the fella how many sales folk they had, he gave me some number, I asked if he knew how many had come to help me, nope. I said zero. He asked if I really needed help he would get someone, I was already walking away, and I was steamed. Really steamed. More

Shout Out to Rick in Service for saving the day! We found the dealership on the web, and stopped with no appointment, just a hope someone could pull the trouble codes and tell us what was going on. Rick came out, did the test and arranged to have someone immediately take a look. Bottom line is we were back on the road in just over an hour. That kind of service is ever-more rare to find, and I sincerely appreciate the effort they made to get us back on the road! Many Thanks, and I would gladly use Wilsonville Subaru for service if they were closer to me! More
The service was awful. I was told the diagnostic fee would be deducted from approved service if I elected service. I ended up paying the diagnostic fee in addition to eve I was told the diagnostic fee would be deducted from approved service if I elected service. I ended up paying the diagnostic fee in addition to everything else. Then, the customer service person told me what it would be to repair the vehicle and what else needed fixing. The estimate she gave me didn't include the original repairs, so I authorized spending what I was quoted as it appeared from the documents she gave me that the total listed included the original repairs. When I went to pay for the repairs, the service rep told me she miscommunicated with me, and that she forgot to tell me the original repair wasn't included in the written bid she had showed me. As a result of these "miscommunications," I ended up paying almost $900 more than I authorized. I have contacted customer service twice to deal with this, and no one has had the courtesy even to call me back. I'll never go here for service again and have been telling everyone I know (including people who were shopping in the dealership for a new car) never to go here. More

Spencer was professional and did a great job of answering my questions. When I thought something was not working but I just didn't understand, he was so gracious and respectful that I didn't feel silly. As a my questions. When I thought something was not working but I just didn't understand, he was so gracious and respectful that I didn't feel silly. As a woman, I appreciate that. When an issue didn't act up while I was there, of course :) I commented that I suppose it will as soon as the warranty is over in a few months. He said if that happened, have them talk to me. Thankfully, that didn't happen, but it was reassuring. Super comfortable, and helpful, a pleasure to work with. More
