Our first experience with Toyota and also with a large dealership. We were made to feel comfortable, and treated with courtesy and respect. My husband was particularly comfortable with Matthew Peterson in finance. (That is a huge compliment.) We have always owned Chevrolets,and this is our first Toyota purchase, but we have come away believers. (Plus, our Toyota was made in Texas! - win,win.) Comfortable ride, and engineered with detail. Nice design. The way the tailgate works sold me (the "wife") before I even got in the cab. My husband also was convinced by Jim's confidence in the way the entire sale was put together. Very personable, and exuded confidence in his ability to communicate the terms. Overall, we were treated like royalty. Thanks for making our trip to Ames (over 120 miles) worth the drive. The drive home in our new truck was even nicer! More
My visit to this dealership was easy...redicualessly easy. There were so many things I thought I would have to do that they took care of. All I had to do is test drive a SUV and then sit in a chair. We leased a new Solara convertible with very many options. Tron spent all time time needed to make us very comfortable with every option, he set up our blue tooth and showed us how to install the boo options. We were introduced to our service writer Dan and he explained the service department and how to set our service appointments. Every one at the dealership was helpful and very freindly. We bought a 2008 Solara Convertible with mant options and Tron took the time to make sure we were comfotable with everthing. This is the third car I've bought from Eric, and I think it'll be the last for a while. He helped me get into my "dream" car - a Camry Hybrid - which I did not think would happen for at least another decad it'll be the last for a while. He helped me get into my "dream" car - a Camry Hybrid - which I did not think would happen for at least another decade. So, I see myself staying in this car until it no longer runs, and then, if Eric is still at Wilson's, you can bet he's getting my business! The first car I bought from him, he was so helpful explaining all of the details of what makes a Corolla great and even called the Nissan dealership when I said I wanted to test drive a Sentra... obviously I came back to Wilson's. My second car was also a Corolla and Eric really went above and beyond. This was the year the Corolla model changed and I had been wishing I'd gotten the deep blue it came in, but the new model had changed to a lighter royal blue. So I told him I was really wanting a 2008 LE (for the wood trim look), in blue, with tan interior and a moon roof... he could find 3 out of the 4 in the local area and ended up going out of the region to find exactly what I wanted. Of course for giggles, I test-drove a Camry this summer. So I'd made up my mind in a year or two I'd get a Camry LE. But gas mileage is a HUGE thing for me, so ultimately I really wanted a Hybrid. They got a used 2007 one in and I saw it online. Eric, like on my first Corolla, took the time to point out so many things I didn't know about it, but where he really came thru was working with management to make sure I could afford to trade in my Corolla, which wasn't even two years old yet. If he hadn't been able to help with the trade side, I wouldn't have been able to get the Hybrid. I have fallen in love with this car and I know short of winning the lottery, I'll be driving it til it drops. Thank you so much, Eric!! Matt in the finance area was also very easy to work with and helped me get a better rate than I could get at my credit union. I would definitely recommend at least letting him see what he can do for someone in financing a new vehicle. More
Our whole experience dealing with Wilson's in general, and Eric Hippen, in particular was a very positive one. We were never pressured or made to feel uncomfortable in any way. Eric was very patient and understanding with me even when I changed my mind about the vehicle I wanted. He always answered my many calls and emails promptly and never made me feel like the questions were silly ones. I also commend Matt Peterson for his patience with us in helping us fiqure out the best financing option for us. He also answered our questions fully so that we could understand. We were given a fair trade-in value for our Jeep and feel we got a good deal on the new RAV4. Though I intend to drive the new car a very long time, we will return to Wilson's again and will recommend it to our friends. More
