Our trouble began the day we went in to sign t I'm sharing this in the hope that others may be able to avoid a similiar experience with Wills Toyota. Our trouble began the day we went in to sign the paperwork for a new Sienna van. Earlier in the week, I sat down with the salesperson, and on a specification sheet he wrote down the price of an in-stock 2018 LE. I specifically asked for verification that written price was the correct price with the 0.9% financing and was told that it was. The salesperson also gave me a price and spec sheet for a Sienna XLE with the navigation package that could be brought in from another location. After reviewing the trim specifications, we decided on the LE only because the price difference between the LE and XLE was seemingly so disparate ($6,680), and seemingly would still be so on an XLE without the navigation package. On the day of the paperwork signing, however, we were partially through the process when I noticed the price on the paperwork was not what I had on the document from the salesperson, but a whopping $2,744.20 more. At that point, we should have walked out and reevaluated, however we were caught off-guard. Since we were partially through the paperwork, my wife needed to finish quickly to get back to work and see patients, and we had already planned to use the van that day for a weekend trip to my mother's house, we made an under-pressure decision to continue with the in-stock LE. Later that day, however, the realization set in that we had sacrificed features we wanted for non-existent savings. We did make our own decision to buy the LE, and we take responsibility for that, however it seems that a truly reliable and professional dealer would never have put us in such a situation. If we had been provided accurate information on which to base our decision, we would never have purchased the model with fewer features. I'd like to think that this was most likely an error on the salesperson's part, not a deliberate deception. It seems, however, there is a systemic problem with Wills in that there isn't a more formal quoting process or system of double-checks, and I'd hope this isn't by design. For us, the day of the purchase began with the whole family being excited, but ended with regret. Knowing that we are people fortunate enough to be able to own a new van, I feel guilty looking at the van in the driveway and having negative feelings about it. Despite our regrets, however, it's a decent van, and I'm sure we'll enjoy it. That being said, we'll be haunted by (and will learn from) our mistake, and when we shop for an SUV in two years, we won't be returning to Wills. Congratulations Jerry. Caveat Emptor. More
