Oil change and tire rotation It is amazing how all car dealers ignore appointments. When you schedule a doctor's appointment would you expect to be there over 1 1/2 hours? Why is It is amazing how all car dealers ignore appointments. When you schedule a doctor's appointment would you expect to be there over 1 1/2 hours? Why is this acceptable at a car dealer? In the 70's GM allowed 18 minutes for a lube, oil and filter. Now that most vehicles don't require a chassis lube this time should be shortened. I know that it doesn't take 70 minutes for a tire rotation, so why does this take so long? I can perform these tasks in less time without a lift. More
